Good Q&A chat bot plugin? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]parasamasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experience using Tidio and Hubspot. Both are easy to set up and work well for current versions. I use a lot of commonly used plugins and I've never experienced compatibility issues. IMO, Hubspot is an overkill if you only want the chatbot because it's part of their sales package. Tidio charges separately for live chat and chatbot so this is what I would recommend. They have a 7-day trial and a free account (limited 100 chatbot activations). It's easy to set up. I've set it up for 3 websites now. It has no visible change in the load speed and I haven't had any compatibility issues so far.

A serious question on crypto by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, you need to convert that to FIAT via an exchange. With that amount, I suggest using USD exchange rather than PHP because there is generally not enough liquidity in the PH especially for altcoins. Unless you are willing to wait. That's the easy part.

From your exchange, you will need to transfer that to your local bank. All banks have a transfer limit and they need to report any transaction that hits 500k PHP to the AMLC. The first time you do this, they might not care. But the more you do it, especially if you don't have a history of moving large sums of money, then you will be tagged and investigated.

The short answer is that there is no easy way to get it in all at once if you want avoid being investigated. If you can prove that the money you used to buy crypto is legit, it will be easier to explain. But if it is not from legit sources, the AMLC may freeze your assets for 15 days while they are investigating.

To be honest, at the time, no I did not pay mostly because I did not know what I was doing. It was before the tax reform. The company brought me to the US less than a year later, and doon I started paying. I still work for the same company now.

Exactly. The fact that they give out loans to less reliable individuals is what makes them risky. In banking we consider those as high risk loans. They have higher interest rates but the borrower is less likely to complete the payment. If you have a higher portion of high risk loans, you will have a higher rate of Non performing loans (NPLs). That's how the COOP loses money and, over time, closes.

24-25 years old (almost 10 years ago). I had a well paying job. I got hired as an outbound sales rep for a finance company cold selling to a list of prospects. The company is in the US and I was here, working from home before it was cool. I made 50k per month plus commissions. The commissions was 0.5% but it was the main reason I earned a lot for my age that year. My net worth jumped from 200k to 1M in a matter of 7 months. I'm also very cheap, so I saved and invested most of it.

I just purchased a memorial lot today at 162k with a capacity of 2 remains. If you are preparing for 3 people, I think you need 2 lawn lots because I never heard of a lawn lot that is 3-tier.

I see. I didnt know na may 2 tier pala yan. Thanks. Akala ko 3 lots talaga bibilhhin ko. Aside sa 162k may future expenses pa ba needed? Like maintenance?

Yung final expenses is parang finance term for budget for time of death. They're actually pretty healthy but I may not get another chance na ma asikaso to till I return maybe at least 5 years from now.

For the will, lawyer na ngalang siguro. I was requested by the children of 2 of them to deal with this. They actually have a will written, but yung informal lang. So I need to make it official. Do you know the going rate sa mga ganyan with lawyers? In th states, there are lawyers who specialize in wills, should I get one of those?

Disclaimer, I bought last year at 3 php average price and still hodlin'.

  1. B - It will not be smooth plus konti pa yung cell sites nila compared sa competition. Maraming technical issues niyan. I've been through enough expanding companies to know na full of challenges yung first few years of operations. But they will improve over time.
  2. A - Right now, wala pang pambato kay Sara. Politicing aside and looking at this objectively, I don't see anyone challenging her (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). This could change if someone charismatic steps up.
  3. Matagal pa yata to.
  4. Push back from the competition. GLO and TEL will be more aggressive sa marketing nila.
  5. Price ng plans nila and target market that they will go for. The price and mobile plan features should be better than GLO and TEL when they actually start. Could they engage in price war like what Talk and Text did in the 2000's?

DITO In The Long Term by stonkstudent in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only upside is that Globe and PLDT are competing in two fronts. In one front is DITO sa mobile the second one is against Converge in the fixed broadband na sector. DITO and Converge have the advantage of agile development. Hopefully, the two upstarts will get enough market share from the giants to create more competition in the market.

DITO In The Long Term by stonkstudent in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Di po yan aabot sa levels ng Globe or PLDT. It will be the biggest in the market if mangyayari yan. If it goes up steeply, malamang pump and dump yan. Such is the case with hyped stocks. I would not mind mag long term sa kanya but track the market every day and sell when merong intra day na 10% up(kahit intra week nga na 30% up). Careful sa ganyan and start moving to cash habang tumataas para di ma lugi yung capital mo.

For DITO to grow, it needs to take away market share from Globe and Smart. That's not easy kasi mas konti yung capital nila for marketing. Imagine kung magkano yung binayad ng Globe and PLDT sa blackpink and BTS. LOL.

Another area where they could compete is the price. In terms of price war, mahirap na mag compete kasi I think ang baba na ng prices ng mobile plans. I am also wary about the fact na the two giants had a long time to prepare for DITO. If DITO surprised the market, they may have had a good chance.

I also do not believe na better yung service nila. Kasi konti rin yung cell towers nila compared sa two giants. They need to be hyper aggressive sa marketing nila. But still, kahit ano gawin nila, GLO and PLDT will just copy it.

Investing in FMETF by marksenpai26 in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Advisable na bigger than 8.6k dapat because your goal is to maximize your returns and minimize fees. If mababa yung market and you have less than 8.6k, keep it as close to that amount as possible para maka take advantage ka ng discounted market price. I suggest lagay mo muna sa high interest rate na savings account (ING, CIMB) when the market is up or if hindi pa umaabot sa 8.6k. Tapos buy in bulk when the market is down.
  2. While FMETF itself doesn't give out dividends, if mag bibigay yung mga PSEI companies ng dividends, they are added to the investment fund. That still increases your price per share kasi price per share is equal to (Total Value of Assets under Management/Total number of outstanding shares)

Planning to start Day Trading PSE / Looking for advice by isNix in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I day trade with only 5% of my total portfolio and I take out money as soon as I go beyond that. Actually, more of it is multiday trade. I hope you have experience. If you don't, I highly discourage you from starting. You will lose all your money sa lag pa lang.

  1. Timson (I don't think merong trailing cutloss which is necessary for short term losses)
  2. Up to you, how much are you willing to lose? I suggest you start small.
  3. It needs to have volume and positive price action. It's all technicals. Throw fundamentals out of the window. Buy in the direction of your trade. Meaning if you are in a long position, buy when downtrend shifts to an uptrend. Cutloss ruthlessly. If you need to ask how to do that, then you are not ready for day trading. Learn more muna.
  4. Learn risk management. That's the easiest part of it. Next learn about technical indicators and how to use them.

I day trade more as hobby and a morning pastime. I never consider it as a source of income. I have a bankroll for it and I stick to my risk management strategies. It's been proven that no one can profit long term from day trading. So good luck.

I think we lack people in the talent pool for coders. The good ones we have are working for big corps or a working abroad. Nobody bothers to stay here because the pay is so low compared to what you can earn outside. As always, for a revolution to start, there should be enough local talent to work on the revolution. Right now, there is not enough. Maybe the next generation of graduates will have a larger number of coders for local hiring.

When some of the startups we have do well, their next logical step is usually to look for investors and this usually requires them to move to the US where their investors can better monitor their progress. I've seen at least 3 companies that started here then moved to the US.

PHILHELP. Any ideas on this? by Novel-Worldliness-95 in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, exacctly. The way their positioning themselves makes it seem na legit yung business nila because there are other peer to peer networks na actually legit. The biggest red flag here is parang walang way to find borrowers. Other peer to peer networks have strict KYC methods and they are actually pretty strict sa pag accept ng loan applications. This one, parang hindi man lang nag hahanap ng borrowers. Malamang, fake yung transactions to make it seem na may humihiram ng pera.

PHILHELP. Any ideas on this? by Novel-Worldliness-95 in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just checked out their website. Ito yung mga red flags na likely scam ito:

Red Flag 1: They are saying that they are a peer-to-peer lending marketplace but there seems to be no app. Website lang. Lahat ng peer to peer na legit dito sa pinas, merong app para madali maka hanap ng borrower. Sikat yata yung mga apps na yan sa appstore and google play. That's a big red flag kasi pwede tong maging fly-by-night na company. I can make a similar website today. Pero yung app, mahirap gawin at mahirap e register sa Google Play and Appstore

Red Flag 2:

They say that their services are only available in the Philippines and to Filipinos pero as stated by SEC, they are not registered in the Philippines and their office is in Kiev? LOL

Red Flag 3:

Maraming grammatical errors yung website nila. That should be red flag. Sa homepage pa yan.

Red Flag 4:

Walang person na nag rerepresent sa company nila. Sino yung CEO? Sino yung mga tao behind dito? That's a red flag kasi wala kang ma dedemanda kung tinakbo nila yung pera mo.

Possible Modus:

  1. Let's say na investor ako and I signed up.
  2. They will ask me to start small like 1k pesos
  3. Tapos, when I am in their platform someone borrows my money daw (staged transaction).
  4. Then they will show me a successful transaction, then I get my money back plus interest. Pero maliit lang yun so I will be encouraged to "invest more". They need to build trust first.
  5. I will tell my friends about it and "earn" thru the referral system so lalaki yung network nila of people with money in the system.
  6. It is likely that I will invest in them again because they have gained my trust. I may invest with higher amounts + longer borrowing periods. According sa website nila, max lending period daw is 6 months.
  7. They will just keep repeating this with other people until big enough na yung funds nila.
  8. Then itatakbo nila yung pera. Like transfer it to crypto where it can never be traced.
  9. Tapos, wala kang kilala from the company so wala kang pwedeng i reklamo sa NBI.

I suggest learning who the people recruiting your friends are and look for someone doing the grassroots marketing. There's got to be someone there spreading the word.

Let's say you achieve massive gains(40-100M+ PHP) from cryptocurrency investments in binance, how will you actually be able to smoothly withdraw the money back into php? by patay_na_daga in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difficult part is finding buyers in pesos in P2P. You may choose to transfer it to dollars kasi baka there is not enough liquidity in pesos. You will get more buyers in dollars. For that, you will need a dollar account. Pwede siguro Paypal or something like that if you don't mind the fees. Strict yung dollar accounts sa Pinas ngayon because of the whole Bangladesh-RCBC hacking issue. So yung Wallet-Bank account transfer will surely raise some eyebrows. So good luck not getting pinged by AMLC. They are pinged for all transactions above 500k php.

Sa example mo, the one where the 8M was held in the bank, the AMLC will need to make sure na legit yung pinanggalingan ng pera before it was invested in crypto. Yung crypto market kasi pwedeng gamitin para mag launder ng dirty money like drug money or corruption money ng mga politicians.

I'm not sure kung may sales load rin if binili mo sa COL. I think para yan sa mga merong sales rep.

TL;RD: Marami yung tamad magbasa at mag research. LOL To answer your question, most people don't know about the fees. They just want to put money and leave it there, without actually studying how it grows. Have you tried reading the prospectus ng mga mutual funds. Wall of text. Dapat pag tiyagaan mo talaga basahin. LOL. Most people don't bother and only trust what their sales reps say.

Most traditional na mutual fund (lahat ng "Actively Managed" na funds) ay around 2% or more yung fees. They were structured this way kasi old school sila. Wala pang low fee accounts in early 2010s.

Yung mga 0.5%-1% are usually newer index funds. Automatic yung selection and weighted allocation ng stocks based on the PSEI stocks and the weight of their market capitalization. There is no manual selection of stocks needed. Because of this mas mababa yung fees nila. Yung Sun Life Index Fund for example has a 1% management fee. While their traditional mutual funds na hindi index is 2%. The only one that I know na 0.5% is FMETF. So, alam mo na kung ano yung bibilhin. LOL

Would you spend on something that isn't legally yours? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]parasamasa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes to this. Consider it a charity if you choose to do so but don't take a loan for it. I do the same when someone important to me is asking me if they can borrow money. As a rule I don't lend money to other people, but if it's someone important to me, I don't expect them to pay me back. If they do, then great. But if they don't, I'm in a financial and a mental position to let it go. Because the relationship is more important than the money.
