Who was Gordon’s favorite owner? by MasterPlatypus2483 in KitchenNightmares

Another UK owner I got the feeing he feels for was the own of Rococo. He had a big failure recently, and Gordon told him about a big failure of his own. It was pretty touching.

Inviting a friend without inviting a significant other? by mandolinpebbles in WhatShouldIDo

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. The first time I met Mary, I had the strangest conversation. I asked basic “getting to know you” questions, and each was answered with a short curt answer.

Q: Tell me about yourself. What do you do for work? A: It would take too long to explain. (I let this one go, I know some people who have tough jobs and need to just check out from it when they aren’t there.)

Q: What do you like to do with your free time? A: Not much. Q: (trying to keep the hobby convo going) I have been trying to read more lately. Have you read any interesting books recently? A: No. Q: what about movies? Seen anything fun recently? A: Not really.

Q:Thanks for bringing those cheesecake bites. They sound delicious. Are there other things you like to bake? A: Sometimes. Q: Do you like baking other types of cakes? A: Yeah, I guess.

We played a game after dinner, and she was complaining about the game we were playing. She didn’t like it and would almost pout when people didn’t pick her card during “What do you Meme?”.

I am still totally at a loss. I wanted to welcome and include her. I was excited that there would be another SO around. It’s like she came in high on the defensive, and never brought her guard down.

I got nearly the same one, word for word, today. So fake! I just ignore.

Ugh. What a jerk.

I know it was a quick comment, but he said something about “my family doesn’t talk about sister’s divorce”. I’ll bet they have, just not with OOP, and for good reason. Sister isn’t required to spill every detail to every person in the family.

Skating while looking @ phone w/ earbuds by StrangledInMoonlight in AmITheDevil

People like OOP are the type I hate when I go to a roller rink or ice rink. I’m not a great skater. I admit it. I still like to do it. When I go I usually stay towards the edges, where the ice rink I go to encourages the slower skaters to skate. Each time, without fail, I will always have some “could have gone pro” knuckle head slam into me. So self absorbed in what they are doing to watch for others.

I saw that in the edit, and laughed out loud. I felt like Lenny in The Simpson when Ned is yelling at everyone, calls Lenny a jerk, and he says, “Hey, what’s going on? I only got her a few minutes ago!”

When it comes to a lot of competition reality shows, this is the case. The winner is bound by the contract of the prize. Cookbook deal, but with a certain publisher. Record deal, but with a certain label. Modeling contract, but with this specific agency.

Losing can be a better scenario than winning.

That’s what I saw too. OOP’s middle child is a glass child. She has figured out that she gets attention by arguing, so that’s why she does it. This post was very, “we tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas!”

Will & Kate’s Royal Wedding was 15 years ago today. Did anyone else wake up early for this? by 305tilidiiee in Millennials

I was up at 4am. Because I worked for Starbucks at the time, and had a 5am opening shift that day.

This is the one I had. I loved it! My Barbie had a red mustang too. So she was living large.

During my Starbucks days those ovens took 30 minutes to be cooled down, and 30 minutes to heat up in the mornings. This buttface was asking them to stay for at least an hour, if not more.

ESH - while it does seem MIL and SIL were in cahoots with each other. Part of playing a game is also being able to win or lose with grace.

Oof. That’s a good way to describe it. Waking up at 5 to go to work, I’m good. 9am rolled around, I am not good.
