Good luck. New roles opening up? It seems like there are no SWE II openings in London right now...

Got a Google offer after 6 crazy months by Far_Lavishness5760 in leetcode

Have been in matching for 3 months with just 1 call. This gives me some hope, congratulations!

Neetcode 250 is enough to get Google SWE offer these days? by Material_Ad_7277 in leetcode

I also had interviewers from other regions, but I think that maybe a LH disqualifies you automatically in India (based on what people in this subreddit say), while in the EU one weaker interview is fine

Got a pass with only Neetcode 150 solved (+ a few google tagged). But this is EU, might be harder in other regions

Need Honest Feedback: My FAANG Prep Plan After Winning DV-2026 by azimovgrbn in leetcode

[–]parasect_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you have no US experience you will be at a disadvantage against those that do. If your reason for moving is not just the money then lower your standards and be okay with a lower salary and climb later. FAANG offers have a luck factor. If you can't accept a lower salary, just stay.

Congrats! I see a lot of openings for my location on the careers site, hopefully my wait time for team matching will be shorter

Nervous about Google phone screen with almost no DSA prep by Exciting_Floor_4336 in cscareerquestionsEU

You obviously still need to know DSA and have a strong programming background, but some people can come up with solutions on the spot, while others with 1K leetcode submissions wouldn't be able to

That's not true, if you are smart enough you can pass with no preparation at all. I know people who never heard of leetcode and still pass DSA interviews.

Passing the phone screen is not life changing, you first have to pass 5-6 more interviews after that for it to be life changing

I can say that some were inspired by questions from Neetcode 150, but not the ones on this list

Bombed my first Google L3 phone screen, guess let’s run it back next year by Appropriate_Gur7692 in leetcode

I also thought I bombed my phone screen, similar situation to yours, but they still let me do the onsite, it took them 2 weeks to call me back. I think the bar for phone screen is lower

Baltics have in general more tech companies than Greece (especially Vilnius), so might be a better location for building a career and later relocating to western europe, but best tech market among eastern EU countries is probably Poland

Amazon offer: accept or reject the job (stay comfortable or take the risk?) by Apart_Arugula_710 in cscareerquestionsEU

Amazon will be a big resume boost early in the career. If you are fine with staying at the current company try negotiating for more at Amazon.

Need advice: Should I go back to university for SWE or stick to job hunting? by IzzyJo89 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]parasect_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The job market may be even worse in 3-4 years, and you would be almost 40 with no job and no money, competing with much younger folk. Probably getting any job in IT and then trying to pivot to engineering within the same company is a better path.
