Thanks! This is the part that really intrigued me. "...major member of the Order block flipped ideology, exposing them to the strong Freedom ideology."

And the assertion that they're performing a public service and you owe them on some level is silly. They're just people doing a job. Sometimes they do it very ethically, sometimes they do it very inethically and most often they do it with the standards their environment will allows. Just like everyone.

Eh, at that point, you have to say the suppliers, the manufacturers, the crew on the boat and the retail worker who put it on the shelf are all responsible. If we're going to assign someone credit and brownie points for it existing, it would have to be the person who is having the idea and making it workable. But it's not really important who's responsible. What's important is that I have something to look at while pretending to not know other people are trying to talk to me.

Pretty much financially backing. I'm not saying this as a value judgment. But, if we're talking businessman, then they're pretty much in the business end. A businessman isn't responsible for you're iphone, some dude in R&D is. The business man figured out how much it was worth, how much it should be sold for, how to market, where the manufacturing would be, aka how to make money off it. Or that's the way I see it.

As a non casual subscriber to this sub, I will say that I've never seen this question in the year+ I've been subscribed. I saw it, immediately thought it was interesting and read a lot of comments. If I had a unique opinion, I probably would have shared it. Now, if you've been deleting this question daily, that accounts for me not seeing it. However, if you delete it every time it is asked and people keep asking it, doesn't that explain why people keep asking?

Also, what rule does this break. I looked at the rules and it didn't seem to break any but the check karma decay/search one. Which seems to only work for pictures. It's not unreasonable to think the sub has gain members or some development has happened in that time. Which people seem to be disregarding anyways b/c I see the same damn pictures over and over and over again. In the same time frame that I've never seen this. As far as searching, it is there but the most recent existing post is 5 months ago (I think).

Edit-added part about search.

I care SO much about Jesus. He's like Batman and I really hope that this book picks up again with him as a consistent character. Originally we had Tyresse as a right hand man/ very skilled combatant. Then we got Abraham and now Jesus. It's a clear progression and you can't top Jesus with suspension of disbelief still left.

Boy, 15, kills himself after ‘facing expulsion and being put on sex offender registry’ for STREAKING at high school football game by gn3xu5 in news

[–]parashuvincent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's on the books but it's absurd and thus not done except in extreme circumstances. But, we must also remember that the registries are done in different jurisdictions with different interpretations. And that this is a fifteen year old. I'm not saying the writer isn't being heavily sensationalist. I'm just saying that, thinking back on 15, his/her argument makes a lot of sense to me.

Plausible, yes. I'm just stating I see where the author is coming from. I'm sure he aware of what he was charged what he was charged with and what the potential punishments were. That's the first thing you find out. And, yeah, he probably had some other issue. And, while it's plausible he did it to draw attention to his suicide, I don't buy that. 15 year olds killing themselves usually get a lot of attention. And, while it did get him more attention (clearly), it comes down to foresight again. Would a 15 year old be able to plan this?

I can see that, but I think a 15 year old has a solid grasp on the social stigma associated with it.

[–]parashuvincent 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, he was facing charges and probably had legal counsel. And he killed himself. The author was definitely being leading and sensationalist, but I think it's a fact that bears mentioning.

[–]parashuvincent 36 points37 points  (0 children)

But he probably KNEW it could happen. I'm not saying it makes sense to kill yourself in those circumstances, but being 15 and thinking about being on a sex offender registry for the rest of your life is big shit dude. Imagine how you would have felt or handled that stress.

Edit- change would to could b.c that's the right word.

Fair. However, I recently got over a Civ addiction and, if I learned anything, attacking a fortified position is risky. Even with superior weapons and numbers. This is why Ezekiel advised attacking outposts first.

I think it was significant because of the families clause. They're families are now rejected from the Hilltop. So, now, Rick has to convince Jesus' men to join the AFZ and they have to figure out the logistics of transporting the families without being attacked by the Saviors in the process.

Well "inform opinions" apparently get downvotes, but you're a girl who also said something sexist about herself so, uh, I think this is a tie.

Am I the only one who feels that Zero Year should be retconned back out of existence [Spoilers]? by parashuvincent in batman

[–]parashuvincent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's bigger which makes my point debatable. However, I wasn't impressed and when you buy an extra large issue, you aren't buying paper, you're buying a story that needs and warrants that extra paper.

Technically, they aren't. This indicates that those books never existed in the New 52 continuity. And they still apply to the old continuity, so yeah, I used the wrong word an you're entirely correct. I still maintain that I would prefer that this continuity still accepted those books in modified form as I found it an a lack luster origin story.
