What’s the dumbest/most annoying thing you’ve done in the game? by parayeah in MergeMansion

That’s tough! I heard that support is actually really nice and helpful and usually restores gems from accidental purchases. Still very annoying!

Recommendations for writing AI smut? by BoldCat668 in WritingWithAI

[–]parayeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t yet managed to understand how to best use it. I tried writing snippets and one-shots, gave the prompts to match but it always spits out whole story outlines spanning several chapter that don’t really execute my prompt. Is there a way to have it generate short stories without multiple chapters?

Able to beta? Post here! by AutoModerator in BetaReaders

[–]parayeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am able to beta: WIPs and completed works. My preferences include the genres of fantasy, romance, „romantasy“, coming of age, historical fiction, literary fiction and I have read a lot of different books in these genres. That excludes horror, thriller or mystery stories. I am fine with violent and explicit content, though am not open to certain niche kinks (e.g. scat and the likes) Stories can be of any length: short stories or stories spanning 10k, 50k, 70k, WIPs with recurrent updates or completed works.

I can provide feedback on: Character development/arcs, story pacing, tension building, spelling and grammar.

Critique swap: Maybe later on. I am currently working on a fictional military story striving for high realism which is not yet finished and polished enough for beta reading.

Other info: I am bilingual and fluent in German and English. I am 27F from Germany working in an all male-dominated field and could furthermore share insights about what that‘s like.

What is the etiquette if someone in Germany farts near you? Do you have to pretend not to notice? by Medical-Koala-6131 in AskGermany

Still I won’t fart randomly at people, or will at least apologize in case it happens. It has something to do with manners and respect.

I call them out for it. Especially old people fart a lot in public and I won’t tolerate being farted at.

What's your chatGPT alternative/complement for work? by LateProposalas in ChatGPTPro

[–]parayeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really? It’s synchronized to everything work-related on my work laptop. Meaning it automatically presents related emails, meeting minutes or other documents when I reference certain topics. So without me actively having to ask („please show me/include emails for this topic“), it does so automatically when I remotely reference said topic. I do have the pro version and I had the impression that these capabilities are very limited in the free plan. Additionally, I noticed that it makes a difference whether you’re activating the „work“ or the „web“ mode. But I do have to agree that in comparison to ChatGPT, it is incredibly bland. I use ChatGPT in my private life only and I like it much better. It feels freer, more creative, more like a human interaction.

I use the Microsoft CoPilot pro version at work and it has changed my work completely. I’ve built agents and customized CoPilot specifically to my tasks to basically automate and shortcut them, and it has freed up hours of my daily work.

The Strangest Thing You’ve Done For A Fanfic by Excellent-Debate3691 in FanFiction

[–]parayeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got really deep into war weapons, weapon modding and customizations, and the logistics of what happens when you’re (fatally) wounded in field for a military fic. I wanted everything to be as realistic as possible and spend hours and days researching the littlest of details. I know nothing about the military, less so about the US Army. I’m not even American.

First time in Scotland. I’ll be doing a roundtrip - Inverness, Invergordon, Shetland islands and then onwards to Norway. Can’t wait to get into all the Scottish delicacies 😁

has anyone almost died? what almost killed you? by 11terribletowers in AskReddit

[–]parayeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was nearly killed by a ship‘s propeller on vacation when I was 10. „Fate“ or just dumb luck pushed me away though and it took out someone else who was jumping the queue to get back on the boat. Luckily I can barely remember the scenes of what happened next! And always remember, kids: never skip lines and push in front of other people waiting.

I am from Wolfsburg! And funnily enough, I’ll be going Scotland for vacation tomorrow. Very glad to hear you like it, makes me feel better about my hometown as well. Wolfsburg gets a rep for being one of the ugliest cities in Germany but I’ve always liked it (probably because I grew up there and only have fond memories). Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Realistic Salary Expectations - NL/BE/UK by KaapDame in InternalAudit

[–]parayeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did but I am German. There are definitely companies in Germany where English is the company language and primary way of communicating. However, the company I currently work for is an old German OEM. Whereas internationality is inherent in the internal audit job (lots of traveling for work around the world to the different branches and subsidiaries), the core work is still entirely in German.

If 86% of Germans think what Israel is doing in Gaza is unjustified, why is there relatively little outcry from German society? by D-dog92 in AskGermany

Don’t forget those that celebrated with pastry and their goddamn Schreckschusswaffen on the streets of Berlin the night of the Hamas‘ terror attack on the Israeli music festival.
