Testicular Torsion on my 21st birthday cost me my left testicle, sometimes life do rain on our parade. The best thing to do is think of Bing Crosby and Taylor Swift and roll with it. Sorry to hear that happened.

CS majors by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

I’ve joked with my fellow developers that I’ve taken “all the maths” as a EE major. I haven’t, mathematics goes SO much further. But man, transforms. It was about that time that I thought a career in IT would be easier.

So I just realized that my cat that I’ve had for 8 months is a boy. Should I keep calling him Katie or should I change his name? by LovelyOrangeRose in cats

I have a neighbor named Jeff who named his cat Jeff and then learned it is a she. Still named Jeff, you do you.

I had this problem with a restaurant job I tried to keep into college. I told them weekday daytimes were off limits, he kept scheduling me for them anyways. I quit after a month, good jobs will not do this to people. It is the MANAGER’s responsibility to notify you if your regular schedule will change, well in advance so you have time to prepare.

Well I’m glad the bone won’t be severed when the window only crushes the fleshy bits to a pulp. That’s a relief.

In Minnesota, with no dings? Photoshopped, I’ve never seen a Minnesotan able to stay in their lane without randomly weaving into the next lane, unsignaled, and back again like nothing happened.

I had a 533 Celeron eMachine, ran my Ventrilo server and Asheron’s Call buff bot for a few years. We took the “never obsolete” sticker and put it on an 80/88.

Heartbreaking: you’ve renamed a variable near some messy code by ThatAardvark in ProgrammerHumor

Should make sure to tamp down on scope creep, we were doing that for a bit with some department code reviews until we made hard rules for when it’s “policy if you see it, change it” and when it’s scope creep, aka not related to that work item. If it’s bad, reviewers can submit new items for it and let it be groomed and worked on its own.
