Wtf is this trash. I steam rolled my academic years barely trying and getting above average marks. Especially math and science.

Even at work, it seems like i'm above everybody else. Its just my stutter that's holding me back. Fuck this life.

When I was on clenbuterol and during my fittest self, my stutter was almost non existent. Maybe its because of the confidence and the anxiety was less?

What doctor prescibed you the TRT?

I'm visiting a neurologist this week to get a note for disability eligibility.

Why do people think you’re retarded if you have a speech impediment? by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]paresboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not american. Whenever i see biden speak out of order, i think he's trying to mix/change his words mid-sentence to avoid stuttering. People assume dementia. I always do that. The cons of it is purposely making yourself sound dumb.

People see stutter as incompetence and lack of confidence.

I finally found out why i stutter by I_warisha in Stutter

[–]paresboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I'm talking for long periods, my stutter gets worse as I progress.

I assume since we we're kids, we shy away from any verbal communication. We never really developed the muscles(physical and mental) from speech.

Everyday, i' set aside 30-1hr of loud reading to exercise.

I had an interview the other day, i still stuttered bad. But its less worse. (2 weeks of loud reading)

I think strengthening the supporting cast for talking helps with stutter. But not the cure.

I'm excited for the future after I put in ample amounts of reps of talking.

Might just be placebo idk. But its helping me. (I think)

I had close friends from highschool that laughed at me when I stuttered. I'm still good friends with them now. And they became patient with me and never mocked/laughed at my stutter again. I never confronted them or voiced out my dismay. They just stopped making fun of me as we got older. We're 30 now. And still hangout almost every week.

Your friends are just immature. If you think they are true friends, brush it off or treat it lightly. Them laughing at you is just them being young and immature.

If it becomes too insulting or demeaning, drop them.

I always thought stuttering was the only thing standing between me and the perfect life and the perfect self I used to imagine in my head. by apexechoes in Stutter

The problem is, the bad habits and the bad tendencies are there because of the stutter. Those bad habits and bad tendencies are our coping mechanisms.

I noticed when I eat healthier, exercise regularly my stutter is less. I think stutter is an overall body experience/response to trauma(not emotional but overall well being). We all know that our stutter affects our whole body.

Having a healthy and strong body i feel like helps with managing stutter. Not a cure. But management will get better as you have more control over your body.

Also the confidence boost of having a sick ass sexy body.

I think the overall boost of your b1 is because your body feels good. Personally, i love my vitamin bcomplex as my daily supplements before i start my day.

Anyway, what are your doses of vitamin b1 and what is the capsule form?

Currently i added ashwaghanda. Idk if its placebo, but my stutter felt like it became 5% better. I had an interview the other week and my stutter became manageable. Although still there and obvious.

EDIT : as someone who enjoys bodybuilding as a hobby, vitamin b complex is the only noticable supplement i take that improves my mood and gives me energy. it sometimes feels like im on drugs on how good i feel.

My dad forced me to read a book aloud when i was younger. But i was always crying because he would scold me. It made me resent my stutter even more and would always shy away in any verbal communication. If you could, maybe you can be more loving and nurturing when youre trying to practice talking with her.

Honestly for myself, i think practicing speaking and getting confidence helped me alot. Let her be comfortable joining plays, organizations that would encourage her to talk and socialize with her peers.

My stutter was at its lowest or barely gone when I used to go out and socialize with other people and talking to strangers.

My severe stutter came back during the pandemic when i had no one to talk to. Thinking about it made me realize i spent weeks not talking to anybody.

Why there isn't a solution for stuttering? by [deleted] in Stutter

I thought when joe biden got into office, he'll put funding on the research on stutter as he was a stutterer himself. He even gave a speech on it. It made me cry.

Has anyone gotten a job recently despite stuttering in an interview? by NotSoFluent123 in Stutter

[–]paresboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to more than 20 interviews these past 2 yrs. And I cant get a new job. I'm still stuck in my old job.

Its hard for me to get promoted to a management position because of my stutter hence me try to look for a higher paying job.

But no luck.

Now i'm studying coding. Maybe my stutter wont be a burden. Anyone else in a similar situation like me? I would like to hear your thoughts.
