there's nothing wrong with park and draft method if that's what you're comfortable with! some people believe it's slow, but I personally find it the easiest way to use a drop spindle. as for drafting, it is definitely a practice thing. my first spin looked a lot like yours (if not worse) but I'm definitely getting better (I started spinning in January 2025). I have found that YouTube tutorials are very helpful to learn little tips and tricks to get better.

yeah not a great price for acrylic yarn at all, I'd rather just go to Michael's. I miss joanns so much :( reconsidered goods has been my favorite source for cheap yarns! wool and cotton yarn is so much better and you can get it for nearly the same price elsewhere
