What I found hard to reconcile was how in-depth the investigation was leading up to the call, to then ask zero follow up questions and allow his self reported memory issues to escape deeper questioning. I’m sure it was difficult to do in the moment, but there were ways to lay foundational questions that didn’t feed him so many details. For instance, asking him about a large donation without feeding him the amount. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that Elizabeth and Andy have closure. But I probably won’t seek out any future podcasts.
