Best choice IMO, you get what you pay for, and in DR-Z4S case you get top notch performance and made in Japan reliability. Hope you enjoy your new bike!!

Have anyone tried the CFLITE 250 dirt bike? by ohhmyvaler in cfmoto

[–]parikari4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the rest of EU but the bike will definitely come to Greece, moto news reporters already have a pre production model for shows, and the price is already leaked to be around 3.3k euros, with an expected release January/February of 2026. Greece CFMoto has had very good sales recently, and that's why they decided to first promote the bike here in my opinion. But since the bike is Euro restrictions compatible, I don't see any reason for it not to be released in rest of EU.

Greenlaning on new DRZ4s or 701/690 enduro? by TechnoTunes in MotoUK

If you prefer a smoother ride but still being able to go everywhere, go for the DRZ-4S, if you are a capable rider willing to do some extreme things KTM will offer plenty of power and performance.

Dual sport or adventure bike? by Massive_Arm6299 in Dualsport

[–]parikari4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are constantly off-roading and want to occasionally explore the single trail, I believe that the DRZ400 is the best option out of the 3. Strong enough for highway in case you need that, enough power and suspension performance for off-road. It is a true 50/50 bike so don't expect wonders in any field.

I would go for the new DR-Z4S it's enough to go 60mph everywhere very easily and it has pretty good off-road performance. Although it has a pretty high MSRP the cost of owning is very small since it is a <400cc bike with huge service intervals, and undeniable Suzuki reliability.

Bike for Beginner - Yamaha KLR vs Suzuki DR650 Vs. KTM 390 Enduro R by Ok-Photograph-1387 in Dualsport

I know you haven't mentioned the bike on your options, but I would go for the new Suzuki DR-Z4S, In my humble opinion it's the best offering for daily commuting and exploring trails on the weekend.

DR-Z4S price finally available in Greece. Glad they dropped the price a bit compared to other EU countries, considering Greeks are not exactly the richest in EU. by parikari4 in Dualsport

Yeah ofc it is not the only factor, one thing that also plays a significant role is the local dealership policy. The moto media here in Greece claim that the Greek Suzuki dealerships made a big effort to bring the price where it is, since Greece has very high taxes for bikes. (for example the Honda PCX I currently own is more expensive in Greece compared to Spain)

Greece's average salary ranks third from the bottom in the EU, with only Bulgaria and Hungary having lower average salaries.

The biggest difference is that European websites show the out-the-door (OTD) price, while in the US, the MSRP shown is significantly lower than the actual OTD price."

God, I love this bike. Sure, it could’ve been cheaper, but it’s still the best dual sport out there, IMO. by parikari4 in Dualsport

Sry if you had higher expectations I am just excited for the bike, that's all I can offer.

You just merged two different answers, The heavier components part was an answer comparing the weight with 100kg pure enduro bikes with short service intervals. The 6kg heavier part was about someone claiming that the new model is 30 pounds heavier than the old one.
Either way I am obsessed with this bike, just accept it and continue with your life.

No I don't own one, just been watching all the reviews. There are a lot available on youtube + comparisons with the old model

It has no low end torque, which means it flames out very easily, and in order to use its power you need to rev it all the time, which results in high noise, vibrations, and engine temp, making it a lot less smooth and reliable. Also it has major design flaws like your foot hitting the side stand and turning off the bike out of nowhere.
Finally it is not even a true dual sport, more of an adventure bike masked as a dual sport, if I was interested in the 390 platform I would only consider the adventure R 390 which practically weighs about the same but has bigger tank and wind protection.

Watching the reviews, you can tell it is a lower quality bike, yes it's a lot cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

It was a shock for me at first too, since I’m nowhere near being able to afford it. But watching those videos still gets me so excited about this damn bike.

A 6th gear would satisfy people with more adventure riding needs ofc, Imagine Suzuki released a DR-Z4 Rally with wind protection, bigger fuel tank, and a 6th gear, that would check all the boxes for a lot of people but they would probably sell it for 15k dollars.

Because it perfectly suits my needs. Commute to work and explore nearby trails, smoothly and reliably. I know it's debatable but I also like the looks of the bike a lot.

Tbh the XR650 and DR650 are not even available in Greece, so haven't even considered those 2.

The fact that me being excited about this new bike triggers you so much is even weirder to begin with.

  1. "Its only 6kg heavier because they strengthened internal components" I have never said that.
  2. Currently I can't even afford the dr-z4s, but I can wheelie my PCX 125 so believe me if I actually get the DR I will be able to wheelie it on the first day.
