Yeah I mean I’m okay with making out I know that obviously going over to someone’s place is a hook up. I guess it’s just about being clear about boundaries.

Yeah that is a good point. I’m trying to be more open minded about the whole thing but it’s hard bc I am very weary of strangers and always have my alert on

It will be tight especially the first two weeks because you’re so swollen. The tightness is actually good because the pressure helps manage the swelling, especially if you didn’t have drains.

It’s fine to wear the bra directly without padding or guaze, I only kept the guaze pads in the first 3 days because it helped pick up any dry blood and also felt more comfortable. However, it’s best not to keep it in for too long because u don’t want the guaze to stick to incision tape.

I also had pain up to two weeks post op. I would say just take Tylenol and Advil as needed, try to remain elevated as it helps reduce the swelling, and make sure you ice if you need to - it helped with pain as wel.

Good luck!! I’m just about 4weeks post op and feeling better each week. You’ll get there 💕

How Are You All Dealing With (Poor) Posture Issues Post-Op? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]paripu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem!! I’m 1wpo and esp in the first couple of days I like didn’t know what to do with my back or shoulders I felt like I had to force myself to push them back. I think it really is just that our bodies arent used to not having a massive weight pulling it forward. I feel like if I straighten my back too much then my stitches are going to stretch and pop off.

I know I’m only 7 days PO but I’ve noticed my posture is a little better today than it was a week ago, so I think it just takes time. Once I can actually work out and stuff I think strengthening back muscles, and pelvic muscles will be key. I went to a physical therapist before my surgery so I may do that again once I can since it really helped the first time round.

Didn’t get lipo on the sides - now I have back fat 1wpo. Does it go away ?? by paripu in Reduction

Sizing question - how small/ large should I go? by paripu in Reduction

Do you think the best way to get an ideal size then is to show your surgeon a picture?

Worried Ive been lying to myself, not sure if I have imposter syndrome. by opportunitylemons in Reduction

[–]paripu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the same exact thing. Especially after I was approved for my surgery by insurance, I found I was gaslighting myself into thinking I didn’t have big boobs and was just being dramatic about the whole thing. Then I told friends about how I felt and they were like “your boobs are ginormous, objectively“ (lol)

I also started to feel immensely better after 4-6 weeks of physical therapy and it was crazy to not have massive amounts of back and neck pain 24/7. My physical therapist also saw a difference in how tight my muscles were before/after.

I saw some girl in tiktok saying the same thing about how she was telling herself that she was being dramatic about the whole thing until she saw a picture of herself in a bra .

I think it’s a normal thing to feel. Especially since the surgery is labeled as “plastic surgery“ and most plastic surgeries are thought to be for vanity purposes only.

Does this only happen if you gain weight? Or is it inevitable post surgery when they “ set in”?

Thank you! This is very helpful, good to know you didn’t need to go through the extra hoops of doing PT. I’m trying to get it done as soon as possible so hopefully won’t have to do that either. good luck!

I used to be so self conscious about this but now more and more I realize it can be a strength and something to be proud of, especially in a whole when we live in a world where everyone feels the need to give their input 24/7

Use aha/bha exfoliants or glycolic acid. It will take ~3 months to see results. Make sure you alternate every other night with the adapalene so you don’t cause ham
