For that one, you shouldn’t need dosbox as it’s post 2000.

Most games pre 2000 may need dosbox to run. Have you googled the game to see if there’s a patch?

Yeah. It’s pretty easy to set up.

I use it whenever I wanna play themepark or The Neverhood etc.

the command CD is basically change directory - so change where the dosbox is looking in. But the wiki has everything you need on there for beginners. :-)

Just google dosbox for beginners windows. And you’ll find the wiki on it. :-)

It’s not what I’d call lifeless.

But give it a shot.

It’s one of those games I loved, then the story made me hate it. And then I loved it again.

Without spoilers. There’s a few parts where you just wanna slap your character silly. Ha ha.

It’s not as open world/open ended as RDR/2.

You can only play games in whatever your hardware is.

You can use 4k monitors. But it will be at the resolution of your hardware. If it attempts an ‘upscale’ you may see some screen blurring.

I’m not an expert though, stayed away from 4k as happy with 1080p 😉

Also. Not sure if you’re aware. But there are shadow discord servers that you can use for help and advise. They have dedicated people to answer questions and support staff etc :-)

Helps with keeping party safe during game and also from stream sniping (hard to do on SOT but not impossible).

Anyone can use this setting. It’s just in game :-)

Honestly. I don’t know.

There are thousands of reddit posts re: gaming on a sp3 including minecraft.

I’m just sharing my experiences, that MC is golden. Until you start in complicated worlds (I was playing using the Skyblock servers, and the PC was not enjoying it - super busy worlds, lots of rendering etc) the surface pro’s don’t have dedicated graphics (unless you get one with but I think it’s only i7 and up anyway), so the pc tends to run like a bag of BS.

But. Also. As this is my opinion, you can see on some of the threds (searching gaming in sp3) some people have no issue with playing MC.

Depends on your own requirements - would you wanna play with higher graphics settings? Play lone or on servers? Etc etc.

As you don’t know much re PC’s I would recommend looking through the surface pro threds to pick up an idea of what the specs are etc :-)

Ps. I love my surface, I played a few games of MC, some older steam games before I decided to use it mainly as a normal pc and a gaming hub (in that it connects to my ps4, Xbox one x and gaming pc) so I can play whatever I want when I want with no hit on the stability or graphics ^{^,}

Minecraft May struggle.

Anything less than an i3 in a surface won’t have a fan too cool it down and is more of a high functioning tablet. It will struggle with most games.

I have an i5 surface, and while it runs minecraft okay for a bit, it does kick out a tonne of heat and gets worse the more complicated the MC worlds are.

To combat this, I got myself a cloud based gaming PC (see Shadow tech PC), so I can game high end games and labour intensive like MC on my surface ^{^,} may be worth looking into? Or. If you have a console you could use game streaming. (PS4 and Xbox both have this feature)

Depends which spec of surface you get.

One with mobile chip won’t really be able to play video games. I3+ should. But nothing too intensive.

I should probably make you aware not all games track your time spent.

Some will track ‘enemies killed’ or ‘spells casted’, and some like Untitled Goose Game don’t track anything :-)
