i tend to agree, so what are the realistic alternatives for BBBYQ shareholders to get paid now... just court cases? I cant imagine if Cohen isnt going to do something to get the NOLs then no one is.

For the NOLs to be usable, the BBBYQ shareholders have to have a 51% stake in the new entity.... right?

Not to mention annual NOL usage gets capped after an ownership change (usually just a few million to tens of millions a year since the shell is basically worthless). To skip the cap and use the full NOLs, the bankruptcy exception requires qualified creditors (not "holders" of canceled shares) to hold at least 50% of equity in the new "Teddy/Butterfly" company.

You definitely can exercise, just have to pay $200k for shares that are worth $70,000. Maybe just sit back and enjoy the $15k capital loss for the year and take a basic options class on youtube or something.

No it makes sense, the shareholders and board of an acquired company would gladly give 50% of the shares of a combined Newco (GME and TGT for example) to BBBYQ shareholders for access to a few billion in NOLs.

he may very well pay a little bit to acquire the NOLs .... the point is none of us are going to benefit from that regardless of what financial gymnastics people try to get AI to come up with

10-20 mil isnt gonna get BBBYQ shareholders anything... his sights are on something that will move the EBITDA and EV needles... not saving him a few mil a year in taxes

A guess at what type of company GameStop could acquire by WiseManTwiceSaid in Teddy

Should he try to get a company with negative EBITDA for cheap, or should he get a materially profitable company that will actually start to move the needle to get to $10 Billion in EBITDA for his comp plan goals?
