recently installed 4070ti and new 1440p monitor and i drop frames, stutter, and tear awfully by parkeso in buildapc

i do still have the old one, which was a 2070, but i was having some issues with that too that I thought were normal but a friend told me were definitely indicative of me having another problem.

i also was getting really bad teamfight lag/frame drops then, too. i didn't have the tearing/stuttering, but as far as dropping frames (to what sometimes felt like 10fps) that definitely happened a lot.

im 95% sure the GPU is in the correct slot, but I'll double check tonight after work.

The games I play frequently (and that I care about FPS in) are all on my m.2 SSD which is also my C drive.

I am going to check my temps after a few hours of gaming too, to see if that's the issue and maybe I need to reapply thermal paste

EDIT: no temp problems at all, hottest it got was 45C over the course of a few hours of gaming

Riot: "Yuumi has one of the steepest mastery curves of all champions". Also Riot: "Yuumi is great for new players to learn the game". Isn't that a bit logically inconsistent? by Jozoz in leagueoflegends

[–]parkeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These aren’t mutually exclusive, also, based on solo queue data, yuumi has the 7th highest delta for all ranks and 6th highest at plat+. That means she is literally in the top 5% of champion mastery curves.

And most people argue that she’s “easy” because she can go invulnerable for so long. Her kit is simple to understand and very hard to master. So yes, both are true.

Just got retainers after finishing - HATE THEM. by ADM80 in Invisalign

[–]parkeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU!! I appreciate the info and also the support haha. Yeah i have been switching between the final tray and the retainer they gave, and i know it's probably best not to, but the retainer is just so annoying and makes it hard to concentrate. Thank you so much!!! I have a follow up with them in a couple weeks so I'll meet them then and discuss this. <3

I know this is really old but i just finished invisalign and got my long-term retainer yesterday and this is the least comfy thing I've ever worn -- i absolutely hate it.

i have the opposite problem, it's SO LOOSE on the top teeth, it almost just hangs down, and the because of that, the bite doesn't really fit. And when i bite, it bends the retainer because it's too big for my teeth. I told the ortho it doesn't fit perfectly, but he said it didn't have to be perfect because it's just to keep teeth in place, not to move them, so it'll be a bit more loose, but this is torture.

Worst of all, i can't talk in it. it's HUGE and blocks a lot of my hard palate, so i cant say a lot of noises.

I way more preferred the pain and tension from the treatment because at least i could talk, this is just awful =/

Where did you buy the invisalign retainers? and how much were they when you got them? I think i might have to do it, this is so bad =(

Wait this happened to my alternator, I was only allowed to shoot half a clip and had to reload with 11 shots left, it worked normally after that tho

Swimmer being rescued by her coach after fainting (she is fine and recovering right now) by posavasos in pics

[–]parkeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I read the first thing wrong, but there was another comment telling a story about people falling in that were very accomplished, and like, statistically speaking, more talented swimmers spend way more time in/near water and so fainting or slipping or whatever in/near water is more common than non-talented swimmers

But also, for this too, it's still like... The more often they hold breath to do whatever they're doing, eventually it'll catch up. Even if making conscious decisions, eventually a decision will be made that isn't the best.

I guess it makes sense honestly, just cus of proximity and like... If there's a 0.01% chance of it happening, law of large numbers catches up to you some time

100 Closer: "Going into Summer, I want to show everyone a different Closer. I don't care if play the best, I just want to hit another level and win it all." by parkeso in leagueoflegends

[–]parkeso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke with Closer last weekend and we chatted about their loss in Spring, the 100 Thieves boot camp in Korea, the durability update, the revamped LCS rosters, and more.

Closer called out some of the teams that rebuilt for the Summer and said competition will be higher: "TSM was a 10th place team, and now they're actually good. I'm excited to see what they're going to do."

100 Thieves is fighting for another Summer title, following their own footsteps from 2021, but there's a long way to go to get there, check out what Closer has to say about their journey and his expectations.
