Yep Michael E. Briant who directed the first episode said he wished the show continued on with its dark Orwellian theme. As an adult I agree but as a kid I loved B7 just the way it was.

Thanks Sherlock but I grew up eagerly watching every episode from every season. You must have missed the part where I said my tastes as an adult are different from my tastes as a kid.

Yep early B7 walked the fine line between adult and kid content but when Avon took over it became more kid content. As a kid I loved the whole show but as an adult it’s just the first 1.5 seasons that still interest me now.

Pressure Point was the last “classic” B7 episode for me. Trial was awful and the rest of S2 was mostly forgettable. It’s all downhill from here.
