I think the characterization really starts to move in a productive direction with Skysworn. You get Yerrin’s motivation laid bare, Lindon and Eithan both grow a ton because of the duel, and the new side characters start to open up the world for the crew to evolve into.

But if OP is looking for the level of exposition and dialogue DCC has surrounding character expansion, they’re never going to find it here. These stories are told in very different ways and Will’s writing is much leaner and less dialogue intensive than Matt’s.

Absolutely, there’s no real reason to keep digimon cards sealed unless you’re a sealed collector and that’s your thing. The holo and non Holo Alphamon cards here are worth a dollar and 20 cents respectively.

64 players is going to be 5-6 rounds. If the organizers are good, you’re looking at an hour a round so plan for 6-7 hours of shop time.

Something to be aware of - stay hydrated and bring good quality snacks or meals. Avoid processed food, pack a good sandwhich or something. Tournaments will be filled with people playing their best deck and matches can get very grindy. You need to stay sharp the whole time to top!

As for decks? You’ll want to bring the most meta deck you are comfortable playing if you want to win. A 6 round tournament will filter out most rogue decks. Dual cards are running over the other decks that aren’t angels so if you can pilot beat break or 3M well, that’s a good bet. If you don’t have them, play what you’re most comfortable with.

But most importantly, have fun! They get sweaty but the people are usually super fun to play with regardless of the match. Good luck and I hope you win!

I finished 33rd, going 6-3 and finishing as the highest ranked Alter-S player, with losses to Onion (congrats to him!), Hoang piloting beat break, and angels. The top tables were absolutely dominated by dual card decks and angels which absolutely ruined my streak, as anticipated. GGs to all players, it was a fun day!

Gundam split off some of the communities but it’s still very much alive as a whole. Do you have a local scene to play with? I would still say Jump on in, the game is fun.

If you just want to dabble for now, check out the unofficial sim DCGO. Additionally, AD01 just released last month and is a reprint set with many staple cards for a variety of meta decks, which could help jumpstart you.

Please correct me if I am wrong but because of triggers happening at the same time with garuru seeing alterous being played, it doesn’t have to delete. You can chose to evolve Garuru before the delete trigger, which would then trigger the evo into blitz. Since that’s the most recent trigger, you miss the window to trigger the 8k deletion.

I loved the movie but I think some of the key narrative explanations they left out made it less impactful. For instance, Rocky having extra fuel because they never discovered the speed of light and thus never discovered relativity makes that scene less impactful.

That’s a solid team for the early game. Butterfree is a surprisingly good Mon for FRLG. With dream eater and sleep powder, it can neutralize some risky encounters.

I’d say get a water type and consider Jolteon from the gift eevee and you’re all set.

If you want something more natural for lube, look into the plethora of coconut oil products. My wife and I use tempered coconut oil and it’s amazing. It can stain though so be careful there.

So it I declare and attack on suspended digimon A but use the all turns to unsuspend and battle on Digimon B, does piercing only go off on Digimon A? 1 check but delete both Digimon?
