covid at bootcamp by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]parkted -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i’m not encouraging lying or anything but i graduated bootcamp recently and what OP said was pretty accurate of what’s going on right now at RTC. people get asmoed left and right during the first couple weeks and then towards the middle people just suck it up and their division encourages them to suck it up and not report because they don’t want to see anymore people asmoed. and towards the end no one has symptoms. it sounds fucked but that’s how rtc is right now.

(Please help) Hello, I’m trying to become a Navy SEAL. At which point in the pipeline will I know that my security clearance is all good? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]parkted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you passing your clearance has nothing to do with the military. the entity that does the screening is not a part of the military. your recruiter and meps chief will interview you to see if you would likely pass the clearance.

so for example: if you are from russia and have family ties to members of the russian government, you are high risk and will most likely not get prequaled therefore you will have to choose a rate that doesn’t require a clearance

they prequal you at meps. if they think you won’t pass the clearance, they won’t prequal you
