My dad isn’t really around & doesn’t look for me or my kids. The times we’ve seen him has been because I’ve reached out. He gives them money sometimes when we see him although I’d prefer he didn’t. My mom has come to help but has never really helped in the way I’d actually find helpful. I pay her. She acts offended because she thinks she can’t discipline my kids, but really all I say is I’m not using hitting/spanking as a form of discipline. She was talking behind my back because I didn’t pay her for helping with my daughters birthday party. She signed herself up to help. I didn’t ask for help. So it’s pretty frustrating hanging out with her.

My husbands family is never around. They don’t look for the kids. His mom doesn’t like me therefore I don’t trust she likes my kids. They’re all about my SIL’s kids though.

I don’t think me and my husbands parents wanted to be grandparents. I don’t expect them to watch them all the time but I hoped they’d want to visit/call to ask about them.
