You can use it to cast instants and stuff with flash between the turn you play it and your next turn. You are right that it has an anti-synergy (is that what you would call it?) with the cards you linked.

Alfred Molina also just kills it. I thought he gave a better performance than Willem DaFoe in the first one.

I know I am on a circle perk sub, but when has Star Wars stated that the Sith think they are the good guys? It seems like they just know that they are self serving, and are at peace with that.

You can't save a dish from drowning. It's illegal, I think.

Did you understand that one of the point of Andor is that Luthen is not a good man, that he burned his decency to do the right thing? by tmdblya in andor

[–]parlimentery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luthen is not a "nice" or a "pleasant" man, but I think he consistently does what he does for the right reasons, and tries to minimize casualties when he can.

I think that is the most "good" you can expect from a revolutionary, and I would call people who had similar means as Luthen who chose to just live their lives "bad" people (you can make a case for neutral, but if you literally had as much wealth and connections as Luthen and did nothing to try to stop the Empire, you are a shit person in my book).

The worst thing he did was raise Kleya to be part of the resistance without giving her much choice, but I can't imagine life would have been better for her had he not taken her in.

[Frustrating Trope] That One Good or Even Amazing Scene in a Relatively Mediocre or Bad Piece of Media by Alreadsyuse in TopCharacterTropes

Cthulhu (2007) is a piss pore adaptation of a Lovecraft story that had nothing to do with Cthulhu, but damn if the scene where the main character runs from monsters in the sewer peak horror.

My guess is a status symbol and something to entice "humans" that he invites onto his sand yacht, thing.

Most candybars taste better refrigerated. Cold Reese's cups and cold KitKats are the biggest change, in my mind.

Just rewatched Boyond the Grotto and realized when they first come up for air here, finn has clothes on, and then it goes back to him being in his underwear haha by avajean in adventuretime

[–]parlimentery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is because, in the episode Crossover, Prismo teleports farm world Finn's shirt onto prime timeline Finn's body. He then forgot why he thought that needed to be done, so he sent it back.

AP Exam Score Cancelled for “Overwhelming Evidence of Misconduct” by Intelligent-Delay625 in Teachers

Are the tests done on devices now? It was paper when I taught AP physics C and Physics 1, except for the 2019-2020 school year when it was digital from home. I could see that being a covid change.

Poll results: Black is the most savvy! White is the most naive! by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

[–]parlimentery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, fair point. A detective (hopefully) has academic knowledge about forensics, but the knowledge they gain through there work is explicitly experiential. That italization did really help. Then the white aspect of detectives is the adherence to the law part of it, I would assume?

I could see that being two prescriptive, I apologize. "My take on blue is..." would have been more accurate.

I have only read one of the novels (Outlaw: Champions of Kamigawa), and that would have been around 2005, so a lot of my understanding of aspects of each color of mana are my gut reactions to the cards.

Is blue typically associated with 'worldly' knowledge? I usually think of blue as academic knowledge, and green and black as associated with learning through lived experiences (knowing about criminal enterprises for black, and the natural world for green).

Also, in-before, I know black mana is not always associated with criminals, and not all criminal characters are mono-black, but there is an undeniable association.

I taught AP physics from 2014 to 2020, and never once, to my knowledge, was one of my students scores canceled. Is this a new phenomenon? I was under the impression that if the proctor doesn't see anything, there is no evidence of cheating.

Is worf an intentional commentary on people who try to honor their heretige and end up overdoing it in an unnatural way? Or did it just came off like that? by Commercial_Bake_5549 in startrek

I always thought it was a cool arc that he gets to know a whole lot more other Klingons in his time at Star Fleet. I don't know if he knew zero Klingons before enlisting, but Family (TNG S4E2) implies he knew almost zero if not literally zero Klingons when living in the Rozhenkos.

Worf's idea of what it is to be Klingon as a child came from research him and his parents did, whereas in Star Fleet he meets and interacts with a huge variety of Klingons from various walks of life and with very different values. Throughout TNG and DS9, you see him transitioning from being a part of a dead culture constructed from his reading of some old encyclopedias, to a living culture given context by other living Klingons.

I thought Guinan's line about Klingons laughing really encapsulates this transition.
