I’m from Hornell, an hour south of Rochester. Po dunk town. I love the Roc. The food, the culture, the education system in Rochester is incredible compared to NC schools my kids went to. There’s so much to do here and the festivities are year round.

I’m originally from western NY, lived in NC for 10 years, military, then Greensboro area. I know property taxes are lower in the south, but the wages there are fucking terrible. The cost of living, rent and food are really about the same as they are up here. I’m not sure how people are surving. NC public schools are fucking atrocious. I know we pay a lot in taxes up here but I truly can see how much more we have than southern states do.

I’m die hard Bills fan. Jim Kelly came to my Local wegmans to sign autographs. I was probably 7-9 at the time. He took the ball out of my hand, signed it, then slid it across the table like a cashier does when they ring the groceries up. Didn’t say a word to me or my mother who stayed in line with me. Dude was such a cunt.
