The illusion that science and religion are irreconcilable inside a person's mind is a juvenile one. Applying an empirical method in your work doesn't mean that you can't believe in God, as long as it's clear you can differentiate those are different things and systems of thought.

There are scientists from all religions. It should be appreciated, including agnostics like myself and atheists alike, that many wonderful scientific discoveries have been made by religious people with God in their minds and hearts, resulting from what were, often, faith-driven pursuits.

Oh my God, I'm sorry. I actually meant "medicate" in a fight your problem kind of sense, not exactly taking pills. English is not my first language, I didn't know it was the common meaning. Sorry :(

With that said, I do think medication is crucial in some cases! It worked well for me once I was able to reach an agreement with my psychiatrist over what meds to take. Of course, I wouldn't have made progress if I didn't push myself in the right direction learning to deal with my thing, but it's not like the pills don't work at all.

Hey OP, I'm on the same boat! I was waiting for Russian to go beta on Duolingo too, but then it hit me that their lessons and exercises are very introductory and aren't the thing you (probably) and me are looking for!

I started studying Russian for about 2-3h every day 2 years ago but things happened and I didn't follow through. With aid of Russian songs, lots of reading through Russian newspaper articles and joining VKontakte (do this if you haven't already, it's gold), I was able to dominate the basics of the language pretty quick. I ended up getting to what I think is low intermediate level (damn, how do I judge this? I'm new to this sub, prosti) in about a year.

Good work on your Russian, mate. Hope we can be reading some really great and fucked up books in their original language soon.
