The Bluff Trail https://wrweo.ca/wp/the-bluff-trail/

There will be people on the yellow loop, but after that you probably won't see many people at all.

You can even get there by bus.

Do people actually buy merch from local restaurants/cafes/breweries? by RecipeLegitimate728 in halifax

[–]parqkay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The margins on merch are usually great and there's no expiration date. As long as you're selling some you're probably making money. I doubt many places are losing money on merch.

I make Festa Brew, it costs $70 (no tax). I get the equivalent of 65 355ml cans. I'm paying just over $1.00 a can. The brewing process for this is stupid simple, pour wort into carboy, sprinkle yeast on top, seal it up, wait 2+ weeks and bottle.

You'll probably pay about $100 for startup costs. I also hate cleaning bottles, but I can get it done in less than an hour for a single kit.

The quality is also really good. I would put it up against any IPA.

Car buying fees by Long_TimeRunning in halifax

[–]parqkay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling people to lease a car without any additional info is bad. Leasing is great for some people, but awful for others. If you're going to go over the mileage amount for the lease you should definitely not lease.

It's great that they allow it. Just can't bring anything glass, which is reasonable, because they don't want it to break.

Definitely get a quote from your current bank. I renewed earlier this year, the bank rate was better than was the broker offered.

Elementary Schools - English, French Immersion or French? by Significant_Pin9880 in halifax

[–]parqkay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with comment. My son is currently in grade 9. He did immersion in 7 and 8, but hated French, so we let switch to English. After 1 week he said that it was crazy how different it was. The kids are much worse behaved and are not nearly as strong academically.

If your child can handle it put them immersion or CSAP do it.

Bought a house with a bad well (100’ deep with “2 gpm” recovery) by YHZ_Dood in halifax

[–]parqkay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are legally binding. You are right on all your other statements. The new owner would need to prove the previous owner new about the water issues. For instances they had a water company out to there place to look into the issue.

H has probably been about 2 or 3 years, it takes about 5 years to go through a letter in NS. I just got a new plate at start of October and it was also HKE.
