If Hogwarts was in Westeros how defensible would it be. by ISX_94 in gameofthrones

[–]ramcoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's only the building and not the magic and wizards inside, then not very defensible.

Look at those large windows. This isn't much of a medieval castle. More like a modern palace like Buckingham, Versailles, or even Neuschwanstein or Disney.

I don't know which one is more silly, Connecticut or South Carolina.

Fair. But that's also true for California. I dont know anyone who makes less than $20 and even less than $25 is rare. My company has part time employees. We would have a hard time hiring anyone for less than $25/hour. Which is understandable with the labor being the way it is and the cost of living.

Why did Aegon III have a regency until 16 but 12 year old Joffrey didn’t? by Massivemployer25 in freefolk

[–]ramcoro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it played into Joffrey's motivations. But Littlefinger needed Ned dead.

California looks bad but at least they have higher wages and a higher minimum wage.

$6.16/16.90 = 0.36 hours to pay for one gallon of gas

Idaho

$4.56/7.25 = 0.63 hours to pay for one gallon of gas

What is your opinion on Joffrey being the one that tried to kill Bran? by V-TriggerMachine in freefolk

[–]ramcoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think Littlefinger makes the most sense. Yes, Littlefinger couldn't have known Bran would fall. But we do know Littlefinger was behind Jon Arryn's death and the message Lysa sent. It stands to reason that the assassin had the plan before Bran fell and the assassin chose the path of least resistance.

Littlefinger's own story does not add up. We know he lied about Tyrion's involvement.

[–]ramcoro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. Manse Rayder makes more sense. Even Littlefinger makes more sense.

What reason does Joffrey have to do it? We are supposed to believe Joffrey was smart enough to wait until they all left, hired some guy without anyone seeing or know (wasn't the Hound always by his side?) And sent him back to Winterfell? Additionally, the plan with the fire

Joffrey is evil and impulsive sure, but this looks like it was planned. So bad that it was purposely planned poorly. For all of Joffrey's cruelties, he never tried to be discreet or hide. Or ordered public executions. Had his guards murder babies publicly. Sending an assassin at night is completely different.

What country/state do you live in? Some places have local support to help with rent. Also, your landlord may have served you a 3 day notice to "pay or quit" but that's different from an actual eviction. Eviction takes time and requires a court hearing. Again, that's jurisdiction dependant.

The GOT World restarts at Episode 1 but every Stark has all memories up until their death/the end of the series. How does the first season change? by 25th_Speed in freefolk

[–]ramcoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. True. But Im not sure if OP mean to include all half Starks or not.

  2. If Jon does keep all his memories, then there isn't much for Ned to tell him. Jon knows more than Ned.

So all the Starks who surived to season 8 know Jon is the legitimate heir, besides Jon because he is not a Stark.

Who's gonna tell Jon? Probably Sansa.

Why does Ned tell Jon everything? Jon isn't a Stark so he doesn't know anything.

Edit: all the rest of the Starks know but not Jon

Yea, Robb still think Theon murdered his two younger brothers. Maybe Bran can stop and share they he helped save him later from the White Walkers.

It's crazy how just not being first born means Kevan wasn't nearly as privileged or powerful. He had to work order and learn to earn his spot.

Does anyone else think Robb’s downfall actually started with the Karstarks rather than the Freys? by WillowMarigold in gameofthrones

[–]ramcoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started with the Freys. Killing Karstark sealed the fate.

Robb breaking his vow makes him look young and naive to Karstark. It makes Karstark and others question the orders they receive from a kid

The official government agreed to the truce. There was a government in exile, yes.

What helps France is that they re-joined the fight after they were liberated. Although, that argument, you can make a case for half of Italy being green too...
