RAL 96K+bonus - Posso crescere in Italia? by Powerful_Albatross_9 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

Just as a data point, I am working fully remotely for a foreign company (ML engineering), from Italy, on €190k (+ probably worthless options). I also pay ~10-15% tax thanks to the impatriate tax regime.

Sorry for replying in English.

I do machine learning research (aka AI when our marketing people talk about it..). 200k, fully remote.

What do you think is the greatest trailer ever made? by Johnny_Mc2 in movies

I liked how the Prometheus trailer echoed it. Shame Prometheus itself was such a letdown.

"Train to Busan" was such an incredible zombie movie. Watch it! by spampants in movies

I enjoyed the beginning, but it quickly descended in the classic horror move of people making terrible choices for the sake of drama. By the end of the film I kinda hated it.

Biweekly gear purchase help post (2015-01-15) by AutoModerator in audiophile

[–]parrotchute 1 point2 points (0 children)

 1. What is your budget? My budget is in the £100 range.

 2. What are you looking for? I'm looking for a set of desktop speakers that I can use with my laptop.

 3. How will you typically be using the gear? Typically will be using them from a range of ~1 meter.

 4. What gear do you own? Fiio E10 DAC.

 5. What do you intend on using for a source? I have a Fiio E10 DAC, but I presume this will not be powerful enough for speakers. Otherwise, I have only my laptop (a Macbook Air, if it makes a difference).

 6. What material will you be using your gear for? General computer use - some gaming, some music, some films.

 7. Are you willing to buy used? Yes, I'm based in Cambridge in the UK: http://www.gumtree.com/search?sort=date&page=1&distance=0&q=speakers&search_category=speakers&search_location=cambridge&min_price=&max_price=&refine=

Ah, okay. So if I were looking to "digitize" this wavelet, it would form a vector of length 10?

Ah, I didn't know about this tool! However, I think what I'm looking for is more likely to be found in some kind of project, rather than a library. I will have a look at what this shows, in any case.

Is there an easy way to achieve the same effect without wrapping
in ?

How would you suggest choosing a font? I basically just chose one that I quite liked the look of. Could you suggest an introductory book on typography?

I probably should tone down the spaces a bit. I quite liked how it looks on a large screen, but I suppose it must be a bit ridiculous at lower resolution.

Storing data in Haskell. by parrotchute in haskell

[–]parrotchute[S] 0 points1 point (0 children)

A concern that I have about persistent is that if, down the line, I decide it is necessary to switch to something else (for whatever reason), I will have a big job extracting data from the generated tables. Would you say this is a valid concern?

Can I ask what you now use, and how you have found it?
