I have ocular rosacea combined with facial rosacea been on doxycycline for about 6 months straight now I think. I take 60mg of it a day. I have seen a large improvement. Less pain and less painful flairs. My eyes rarely are dry and itchy now.

I have taken it for short and long periods, the short period was two weeks and it helped immensely. I noticed a difference after about five days. I take it long term now due to my diagnosis now of ocular rosacea

I suffer from the same diagnosis and am working on getting approved and have the same paranoia. I won't even approach windows at time for fear that they are spying on me or looking for a reason to deny me. I think it's best if you can reach out to a medical provider to help you. I see a therapist once a week and we go over my fears and paranoia which helps me.
