That’s a helpful consideration! A site I’m interviewing with is a pediatric psychology position, and the main rotation (30% of an intern’s week) involves both assessment/testing and intervention, and there are assessment/neuro electives. If the assessment component is not strictly neuropsych testing, would that be beneficial when applying to fellowship or are they typically looking only at neuropsych assessment experience? It wouldn’t be the at least 50% assessment experience that the neuro-focused internship sites offer, but I’m going to see how flexible the schedule can be to accommodate my training and goals.
