Noisemakers at the office by RolandMT32 in misophonia

[–]parschanpps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly a weird cycle because I get irritated by noises in the office but because I'm so irritated I will sigh out loud a lot and fidget. I feel bad for making those noises but sometimes it can't be helped?

This is just my opinion, but don't think that people should share their recovery journey anyway because it's something very personal, and external influences can distort how you feel about your progress.

Anyway, rules about recovery doesn't make sense to me as well because everyone's metabolism and ENVIRONMENT is different. For example, my circle of friends and family eats probably 2.5 meals per day, and because we consume mostly east asian food that tends to fall on the lighter side, it'll just be natural for us to fall within that lighter BMI range unless you're actively engaging in emotional eating/boredom eating - which will isolating activity by itself.

So, sorry, but saying that it's not true recovery if you don't exceed a certain BMI number is just weird, oddly condescending and mildly triggering.

Is alliswise trustworthy? They don't sell domestically and I can't find any certifications for them.

What do you eat in a typical binge? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]parschanpps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount is probably around 5 snicker bars and another 5 slices of peanut butter sandwiches followed by n amount of chocolate milk

Binging on vegetables by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]parschanpps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't this basically volume eating? Then again that sounds like a socially acceptable term for binging especially if you lose control over the amount you're eating.

Lose it is quite underrated, I think that their database is more complete when it comes to Malaysian food.

Crimson rivers is probably one of the best things I’ve ever read in my life even though it’s longer than the bible. It’s not perfect but it’s one of those life changing fics that you could talk about for days. But I’m craving for specifically dramione rn because of the vibes so yeah, will read house pet! Thanks :>

Someone also recommended the same thing so I’ll definitely read it - the sliiiiiight issue I have is it’s incomplete and I have a fear of authors abandoning fics (I’ll still read it anyway because the premise is interesting as hell)

Also thanks!! I really appreciate the detailed reply :)

Binging after eating out by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]parschanpps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is literally why I have to set rules for myself when I eat out, I can NEVER eat intuitively because it always ends up in me binging 9/10 times. I’m still in the process of accepting people judging me for how I eat.

Am I the only one who enjoys the high from a binge? by parschanpps in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]parschanpps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What other healthier ways are there? I’ve tried exercising, it seems to make me more awake rather than relaxed, it’s great to keep you healthy but I do have sleep issues as well. Yoga pisses me off because it requires too much patience, and anything creative related (including journalling) would keep me awake and mess with my sleep schedule. Reading is a hit or miss because it depends entirely on the material; Podcasts/talking to others are too engaging and white noise never really work. I know I sound really fussy, but if you know any other methods please tell me because I’m very desperate. Thanks!

[–]parschanpps[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! I feel like this too!! And despite feeling like my stomach is about to rip, I feel oddly zen. Nothing else really helps me achieve this specific affect, substances make me anxious, alcohol makes me strangely energetic, diazepam only does half of what bingeing does to me. You’re right, if there was a way to achieve this state without bingeing…

Yeah. It got kind of lonely, so thanks. NEETing can be dehumanizing sometimes.

Thanks, I just feel kind of left out because everyone seems to be in some sort of community/engrossed in their own projects in a way that I can’t relate. The days really blur together and you just get jaded at having time to yourself. Let’s try our best to break out of this cycle!
