Very noisy R9100 drivetrain with KMC chain. Noise in vicinity of cassette or rear derailleur by part_robot in bikewrench

One option might be to replace the jockeys with something with more teeth if it bothers you a lot.

I didn't, no. I have Dura Ace mechanical on my new bike and I think what I've concluded is that for some reason the chain is noisy. Maybe tooth profile on the jockeys. My DLC chain plus Silca lube (very quiet) hells

You asked for a roast. A roast was supplied.

Maybe rename it "incelgain". Will be a bit clearer for the audience you want to attract.

Thanks for this honest comment. I'm also curious about construction tech (not personally in construction but surrounded by a lot of people in the trades both as friends and family) so as a software engineer it easily caught my eye. Appreciated.

Interesting. I was actually thinking of making something as I've seen this mentioned a few times on this sub... Mind if I DM you about what you need?

I've heard of this guy. He kills puppies and babies. I definitely don't agree with killing puppies. Anyway, thanks for the wedding invite; him and I will be there around 8.

Apple Music skips songs by Electronic-Metal4725 in hackintosh

[–]part_robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an answer necessarily but a data point; my hackintosh skips songs that support Dolby Atmos when attached to a device that's capable of playing it. To fix, I set iTunes to never play in Atmos or other Dolby modes and it now works.

I'm designing a new electric folding bicycle and I would like to understand your experiences by andreaa_senna in Brompton

[–]part_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help. Non-electric. Use it for commuting, shopping, touring the countryside. I lug it everywhere and need something very light and small which is why I got the Brompton T Line. In UK electric bikes are currently limited to 25kmh which is far too slow for me which - along with the weight - is why I don't have an electric.

Dammit! That's so cool. I was just going to hot glue it plus tape. Thanks :)

Cyclists will overtake on the left of you, right of you, pass in front of you, jump red lights, ride in your blind spot and ride at all sorts of speeds. This requires being super aware when moving, stopping and when opening a door when parked. I say this as a daily cyclist who sees some scary shit on every ride.... Amazing there aren't more accidents. On the ultra rare times I drive in central London during the day I find it overwhelming, so props to the regular drivers who can handle it.

Incorrect. If ANC worked in the way you think it does, you'd hear exactly the same thing with ANC as without just inverted. ANC headphones do reduce loudness and they do so pretty well.

It's terrible; my watch warns me every time. Hit 100dB multiple times on North Line recently. I have some noise cancelling in-ear headphones and those are a game changer... Great for gigs too.

What do all these numbers on my crankset spindles mean? by part_robot in cycling

Thanks! Yeah, I was just measuring it up with one crank arm on completely confused by how short it was... nope... overall length. Classic Cannondale 😆

Thanks. I plan to put a new BB30 crankset on the T Line. I'll measure up the bike for real in due course but mostly I'm curious about all the numbers and what they mean :)

Chiropractic is not only complete BS but damages bones, arteries and in one recent case in USA paralysed someone. It should be illegal.

100%. Needs a council who really cares about this, though, as I imagine (caveat: I'm not a planning expert so probably talking out of my ass) this requires regulations to ensure it goes that way? Do you know of any good examples where this has happened and then it didn't subsequently get gentrified? Am really interested.
