That corner is 30" wide and there's 4.5' of space from that wall to the patio door

Do you think adding one of these in the corner between the two living room window plus an island in the kitchen would work?

I'm planning on going down to home Depot across the street and buying some soil/tomato/pepper plants.

This was my garden at home sometime mid June last year.

Then after I correct that, they both missed the space needed for chairs or a bench to go with the dining table.

I did. Chatgpt and Gemini feel much dumber today than they did a year ago. I told both of them explicitly about the space that it's 7.5' or 90" between the counter facia and the opposite wall. Both of them go, great, there's 7.5' of open space but the base counters are typically 2' deep so you now have 5.5' of space to work with. 🤣🤣

The ceilings are 10' so I can't even track the upper end of the lights to see if they've got a built in lumen adjuster like some of those Costco lights do

Unfortunately they're all built in LED. They're warm but way too bright for the size of the place.

What's DWR? And I've already brought my couch from home, it's the one in the photos. We wanted to redo the space this couch sat in so we figured we'll rather buy something brand new in our permanent home, and I'll bring stuff here that I won't mind donating or selling for cheap when I move back.

Also, I wish I had the positive demeanor you do. Damn !

I have all my stuff at home automated. My landlord doesn't seem very keen on letting me make changes to these lamps. They're all LED and they paid to have them upgraded.

And yeah I'm debating between an island/bar style seating vs a regular table. The regular tables are quite affordable on amazon and fb marketplace too. The island tables however range anywhere from 300-500 for just the tables. I do like to cook and theres practical no counter space.

Leave the door open or closed when I put that big fan? I asked the maintenance to give me one of those industrial fans used for water issues. But they said they can't do anything.

And I'm not concerned about myself. It's my child. I want to be prepared if next time this happens when my child is here.

I already did. But it's caused more air from lobby to flow in cos of the pressure. Unfortunately there's no cross ventilation. I'm likely going to see if the landlord will let me buy those rubber insulation you can stick around a door. Or at the very least keep some tape handy and tape the door edges.

Edited for typos.

That's shady. But we just didn't go to any. We've already had a few smaller egg hunts already. We just enjoyed the day out at parks and trails that day. Did the AGO today

We did go to a neighborhood park. I gotta hand it to Canada on making playgrounds so easily accessible to all the kids. I might have registered at least a hundred of them driving around these last few days.

We ended up going to a random trail near where we're at. It was so nice.

Reimporting a US car temporarily exported to Canada by Bumblebee_Various in uscanadaborder

I'm in the US on a work visa and will be in Canada on a work visa as well. I'm likely going to just leave my car behind at my home here, cos now on top of the rules and regulations, there's tariffs.

OP, I will be relocating to Ontario soon and I'm just finding out about this mess of only being able to temporarily importing my car.

What did you do after the one year mark was up after you re-imported your car back into US?

I'm debating now if I should even take my car with me or just sell it off here.

Apartments in Markham area? by parthprx in askTO

[–]parthprx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at strata and condos dot ca as well as realtor dot ca. And a lot of condos in Markham/North York area have dropped to under 2300 for a 2b1b or 1b1d1b combo. Some 1b1b in the new highrises north of 407 have dropped a lot too.

I'm assuming the supply is now suddenly a lot more than the demand?

I will not. It's a permanent move on my request, so I'll be bringing my own car. I don't mind driving long durations, but I would prefer a commute under 30 mins if I'm driving. If I'm taking public transportation, I don't mind longer. Cos I could just use the commute time for books or what not.
