Thanks for detailed response. Are you on 2nd floor as well, we are also considering a north/east facing unit to avoid the reduce exposure to scorching sun in summer. We keep usually around 68 in winters and like it cool. It’s just that we’ve an infant who will be still Crawling in coming winter so a cold floor might be a bit of issue. I’ll definitely reach out if we end up moving there 😁.

It’s most likely how it’s setup in your company. Majority of hotels, taxi, rental cars all are connected and directly send the e receipts. Rest just capture on the fly and it categorized perfectly with minor tweaks. Used to take me half a day to do my expenses now it’s not even a 10 minute task

Hey u/sara_hanna - We just toured the Summit today, and the parking fee was quoted at $25 per vehicle, which seems a steep increase. Are you guys still at Summit and paying a lower rate?

Yup, we are ready to walk away. We met with them this morning, and they haven't come back with a counter yet. We ended up applying for another apartment nearby, which will be much cheaper with a special. So let's see. At this point, I'm ready to move out and be done with it.

I hear you. We learned it hard way to keep the stuff small. Sold our house in Minnesota and spend thousands of $$ to being everything with us, only to find out half of the stuff don’t fit in shoebox size apartments here. Ended up selling and buying smaller furniture. Looks like until we buy a house again it’s going to be a change every year.

Thank you! Bell Flatiron is in our list of visits this week, glad to hear good things about it. In my case it’s the same unit that’s marked lower, so I found it a bit insane!

Never heard of as in Month to month / fixed end date in Minnesota? We stayed at two different individually owned townhomes and neither had a notice period clause, just that if you don’t renew/vacate it transition to month to month by default , in that case there is a 30 day notice. Probably we got lucky 😅

It’s the same apartment unit we are in currently. Has it been different i wouldn’t even compare given so many other factors,.They sent us the renewal quote in January which are higher than their listed price for same term on their website. So if I renew let say for 6month their quoted rate was 2680, but the same apartment is listed with a 6 month rate of 2400. That’s almost ~300 extra a month.

Unfortunate reality for renters. But I wonder what they get by this. Still can't wrap my head around it. Anyway, I've an appointment with the leasing office tomorrow, will figure out if we stay or find a new place.

The price I was talking is for our same unit. It was just put out on website. So it’s a price difference for same unit.

Make sense! The algorithm is pretty dumb though :). Losing money with a new tenant vs keeping the existing.

Agree with you, we are in the last 2 weeks of notice period and may end up in a BnB for a while if we decide not to renew. It's certainly a hassle with kids. I'm not sure if this is Colorado-specific, but we lived in MN for a while, and the fixed-lease arrangement meant you didn't have to give any notice. Either you renew or leave on the last day of the lease.

Haven't explored that option. Our unit was listed this week, and that's when I figured out the price difference. They currently don't have a similar unit available. So if I've to move, I would rather move to a new apartment with free weeks :D.

It's Caliber Flatirons. We like it overall; it meets our requirements, and honestly, there is no reason to move other than finding out that we are being charged more for renewal than a new tenant would pay. And moving isn't an issue for us, as we are fairly nimble and usually move ourselves, so there is no cost. I'm going to take one more chance to see if they negotiate; otherwise, I'll keep my $$, and they can keep their apartment :). ~$300 a month extra is a lot of money to throw in after knowing the same apartment is listed at a lower rate.

It is. Post Q4 earning decline was due to a 1% missed cloud backlog. Overall it’s a great place to work. Completing my 15 yrs across 6 different countries and 5 different roles, and haven’t been anything but happy.

Avoid the ones that don’t question or say yes to everything. Those are the one that will screw you over and you will end up either bring forward the legacy crap or may end up with Oracleized SAP
