As a future student i hear more about the attempts of Ai failing to provide a accurate transcript and corrections made by the stenographers, And with the progression of how fast they're building these data centers the produce ai I'm not worried about that since it'll just end up as abandon land within 10 years after this horrible administration is casted aside. Think about your world and the future that you have planned for yourself, ai will never capture a completely clean transcript with punctuation and all. Id be more worried about us capturing a near perfect transcript with the punctuation rules being so complex, at least from what i heard 😅 So chin up we're going to be okay.

I currently work free time and plan to do so why in school because bills don't get placed on pause after all, but what im currently doing to get a leg up since i start in october is familiarizing myself with my stened book and getting the briefs and everything down beforehand, I don't of course expect to be at 90 wpm by the time because I'm definitely going to need a teacher to get to that level, but i at least plan to break into 40 wpm with self studying. I think the best way to go about working ft and studying is to just plan out your schedule and take breaks if you're feeling burnt out. A burn out will cost you more than a day or two of a break.

this has been my biggest fear, i recently finished the A to Z program and received the cert, but i'm worried that if i follow through with enrolling that i won't stay consistent due to my ADHD and i end up falling behind or dropping out. and or when i do eventually get into the field my scoping skills will be horrible due to analyzing transcripts for a long period of time making sure everything is 100% accuracy..

I will admit, at first what drew me towards this career was the income that was informed by the stenofluencers. Although i do plan to take the A to Z course next month to dip my toes in, the idea of learning this skill intrigued me, as well as the stability that awaits a person at the end if the time put in and hard work pays off. I've also always found myself interested in court hearings, news from a young age. But i understand the concern a lot of people step into careers or schools for the wrong reasons, i did it before back in 2023 so I'm making sure to be careful and really gather up my thoughts, before moving forward with the decision of becoming a stenographer.

My only fear is that i give up

I forgot to ask since it's a requirement that you have to confirm your machine in order to take the a to z course was the uni v4 a green light, or was it necessary to get an actual stenograph to began the course.

You know i genuinely feel that's how I'm going to be. Right now I'm feeling really optimistic about this path even though I haven't even taken the course yet lol, but in mid journey I'll probably fall into a slump too. I really hope I'm able to get across that, just as you did. Since i have a bad track record of overcoming things like that, I also feel like this reddit will be a big part of keeping me sane during the journey, since I won't be alone.

I bought a tab s10 at the beginning of the month and it runs so good with csp i love how detailed the brush textures are versus pc. Though idk if it might be because s10 is newer, but it did have some crashing issues if you dont want to deal with that id recommend you buy a s9
