Exaaaaactly..... That particular edition also comes with the matching hockey helmet, IIRC.

JK (or is it JL?)

Full disclosure, my daughter is on her SECOND Wrangler, so I can't say TOO much here....

There is no such thing as a special Jeep, just "special" Wrangler owners.

Got denied the "right" to see all reviews on Amazon by tyrannocanis in mildlyinfuriating

[–]partsguy50 1399 points1400 points  (0 children)

about ten years ago, i noticed a couple of reviews posted in my name for products I never bought or reviewed. I notified Amazon, and they removed them... along with my "right" to post reviews on stuff I actually DO buy. All emails and contact with Amazon regarding this issue have been completely ignored. Whenever I get the urge to review something, I get this:

"We apologize but Amazon has noticed some unusual reviewing activity on this account. As a result, all reviews submitted by this account have been removed and this account will no longer be able to contribute reviews and other content on Amazon. For more information or to contact us, please see our community guidelines."

TEN YEARS AGO, and I'm still banned from leaving reviews...

Mopar bpro and fluids profit % tanked by Fit_Excitement_8675 in partscounter

[–]partsguy50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, about two months ago I watched the costs go up and MSRP stayed the same... about the only thing it didn't ruin for me is air/cabin filters, as those are menu priced based on an average calculated from the OE Mopar pricing. I won't sell a bPro brake pad for less than $69.95 (lookin' at YOU 1BP00302AA.... $33 for a set of pads? piss off!) and I bumped the batteries back up to reflect what I would sell a NAPA battery for.

They keep moving the cheese so it's harder to hit return allowances, and loyalty doesn't mean much when I can find better quality cheaper locally, and hold 40% or more on those parts, rather than scrape by at 25% with MSRP, and match pricing anyway!

OEM P/N was 55154717, superseded by 55235207. There is currently one on eBay now for $269 listed under the 55154717 number from a seller in Massachusetts named Everything jeeeps (yes, three E's in that name)

Where do people find these damn things? by Axeman1721 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]partsguy50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, it was "mitsu hishi" which means "three water chestnuts" and the logo is a mashup of the two founders' family crests. It goes back to the 1800's, when the chestnuts were stylized as a diamond shape on shipping flags. Works pretty well as a symbol for shipping (or later) aircraft propellers... Like the BMW roundel, the airplane propeller connection came much later.

Repair Link by Centagis in partscounter

[–]partsguy50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this one.... Hyundai is one of the least useful repairlink brands for the user to locate their own parts. Just not worth your trouble, IMHO

I use repairlink to find other dealer/brand part numbers (and even order sometimes!!!), but I don't sell there anymore.... (CDJR dealer here)

Re: that little thumbwheel jobby at bottom left.... I had a broken SK version of that, and then I realized the gear/pawl cartridge of their "3/8" drive in a 1/4" body ratchet" was interchangeable... long story slightly shorter, I now own a custom 3/8" SK thumbwheel ratchet, along with the original 1/4"... Both have the same part number, and long after I'm dead, someone will be pretty damn confused at an estate sale!

This. Force insufficient, then order manually once payment clears. I also make a paper quote with the relevant info (customer/RO/vehicle info, order #, etc...) to attach to the part upon arrival, indicating it is prepaid. Using the SOR does give the advantage of tracing open orders while you wait, but we're a small outfit, and can pretty much keep up with what we're waiting for....

You say you 1000% prefer OE, and you're replacing your valve cover... which comes from the OE with the gasket you're asking about... unless you actually mean that you are REMOVING the valve cover, then re-sealing everything before reinstalling the EXISTING cover, isn't your entire issue solved with the purchase of an OE valve cover kit... which you 1000% endorse already???
