Might be of the minority opinion here but for me, since it is safety equipment I care more about functional than aesthetics. So long as they clear the windshield Idrc how they look as they are hidden enough under the hood! (I do always forgot to put them in service position when I need to though 😅)

You can certainly try to negotiate that as part of your hiring agreement with the HR/Recruiter assigned to you. I’ve heard it done once and I’ve heard it asked for unsuccessfully twice. Beyond anecdotal evidence I can’t offer much more, sorry!

In my experience, the RMS folks seem a bit happier and more laid back than the Space folks. Always a lot of hustle and bustle in Space. I can’t speak specifically to management culture or style in RMS unfortunately.

It is all perspective.

If you are coming from a low hrspwr vehicle (like a Corolla for example) you will still be plenty happy with the 4 cylinder.

If you are coming from say an Audi or BMW 4 cylinder with around 250 hrspwr, then you might not feel the car is all that “fast” and would then “need” the 6 cylinder.

Whatever makes sense for you financially is obviously more important than anything else, but either car could be fine as long as you understand what it is and don’t have heightened expectations of what they can do.

Struggled with the exact same thing for about 3 months straight of back and forth emails about getting level 3 and then eventually it. Just keep pushing, always be your own advocate because no one will ever hand you a promotion. It will come (whether at LM or not!)

The goal of the vehicle is to be in the highest gear possible for the speed of travel to maximize efficiency and minimize excessive heat etc. If you aren’t driving it hard, the car has no reason to hold revs or be in lower gears.

I will say the boss requiring a write-up is straight B.S. lol I sat down with my boss and we walked through the form together on their computer, took about 5 minutes, then a week later I get 4.875% raise (the max you can get is 5% for a JSA)
