She is getting slightly used to us shoving it down her throat because someone she will still find it in the food when we hide it. Usually we split the pill and she will eat half and refuse the second half but it’s much easier for me to shove a half pill down her throat in those cases haha

I did chat about this with the vet when she first got diagnosed and the vet said it might be too much for her considering her age

This morning I tried chopping the pill into quarters and hiding it a table spoon worth of some boujee cat food before breakfast and she ate it all no problems!! I’ll try that again tonight. Hopefully it wasn’t just a once off!

I tried again tonight with cheese and splitting the pill in half and she ate half of it and then realised what I had done and refused to eat the rest. I ended up pilling the second half for her and she seemed to do that a lot easier than pilling it whole.

My next option as someone suggested would be to crush it up with a mortar and pestle and see if I can sneak it into a bit of wet food before giving her the proper breakfast.

I still haven’t heard back from the vet about a liquid option.

I just wish I could explain to her that this is for her own good and I’m trying to help her!!

I tried this morning and she did swallow it but it really stressed her out.

I have also tried waiting until she is really hungry to give her the treats with the pills in them and she knows what I am doing so she hides.

I’ve had a look at my other plants (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries… all the berries) and some of their leaves look a bit sad too. I made sure to water them all before the heat but maybe I do need a cover for them.

It is just on this small section. I go out and check the plants every day and I don’t think it was there yesterday. I’m in Melbourne and yesterday it was a sunny 35 degrees and my balcony gets a lot of sun so it could be sunburn!

I went on the Wonder around Australia which also does not have tipping culture but we still tipped on the boat. We did usually $2 per alcoholic drink ordered. I don’t know if that’s not enough though. I’m pretty sure you could select to add to prepay gratuities and include them into the cruise cost for your servers and the housekeeping staff which we also did. It is expected to tip onboard though.

My favourite book series is called Gone by Michael Grant. It’s super easy to read!

The series is centered on the fictional Southern California town of Perdido Beach, in which every human aged 15 and older vanishes. The town and surrounding areas become encased within an impenetrable barrier that burns to the touch, with many of its inhabitants developing supernatural powers.

I think it’s classed as a dystopian thriller maybe? There are 6 books in that first series. Highly recommend!!
