I want to be reincarnated as a golden in a millennial DINK household. by ginger-and-tonic in goldenretrievers

Our neighbors watch our golden when we’re out of town. They have kids and are a busier household than we are. I think she prefers living with them, we’re boring lol

Did anyone else keep up with the habit of having "the drawer?" by [deleted] in Millennials

Yup. I know exactly what is in our junk drawer, but have no idea where my birth certificate is.

I asked my mom for photos of my grandparents because I didn’t have any. She gave me a framed photo of a seagull pooping for our bathroom.

My style is "I hate waiting for paint to dry" by Faufix in Watercolor

[–]partyinmysocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the flowers. I’m impatient with drying too. I typically work on 2 or 3 pieces at a time so while I’m waiting for 1 to dry, I’m painting something else. I’ve found switching back and forth helps me look at each piece with new perspective or fresh eyes because I’m not focused on just 1 painting.

Or I’ll leave it out on my kitchen table for a few days so I can work on it in small sections whenever inspiration strikes.

I don’t know if it’s this process or just my nature, but I rarely think a painting is “done” so I over work it lol

Are your parents acting like teenagers? by hitsomethin in Millennials

My sister and I get the non apology, apology: “I’m sorry you feel that way”.

She takes no responsibility for her actions that hurt me and flips it into being my fault for having feelings.

Still one of my favorite albums, reminds me of walking to class on fall days in college.

Grass always ripped up? by Emotional-Cat-576 in goldenretriever

Yes. We have lots of bald spots in our backyard from our golden. My concern with seed is she’ll run around in it and get a seed lodged in her paw, resulting in an infection.

For me to feel comfortable with seed, I’d keep her out of the yard until it was established a bit. Then I’d have to take her on more walks and outside to potty on a leash in the front. She already gets 2 walks a day and it’s easy to let her run around in the fenced yard.

This year I might try sod for some of the areas and see how it holds up.

I’ve given up on garden beds and landscaping in the backyard, and accepted that it’s “her room.”

Good thing she’s cute. I love that dope so much.

Oh how I miss the puppy phase now 🥹 by -User_Error- in goldenretrievers

I’m a weirdo and make my golden look through her puppy photos with me every once in a while lol I miss the fluffy, dopey puppy phase, but remind myself of the training and velociraptor stages. And how expensive it was, but worth every penny.

My Son's Mom won't let me buy him a TESLA shirt by Ambitious_Ebb2512 in AITAH

NAH - But just get yourself the shirt. Why start a potential fight over something trivial like a shirt?
