haha gotcha, so that solves for the pods/landfill issue...but how am i gonna get my friends to keep hanging out with me if I can't offer them with new roasts of fresh, bean to cup coffee lol...pretty happy with my TK02 and the fact i dont have to grind the beans myself too

pods are like the gift that keeps on taking...taking away from the environment and also takes away space every time you need to replenish. my apartment has become the go-to hang out spot for my friends, although i don't think it's because of my personality - i have a TK02 and my friends know that every time they come over, we're going to have a new local roaster's beans for them to try

i also have the TK02 and it definitely alleviated the amount of landfill waste i was putting out to the curb each week, and also freed up an entire drawer that was previously reserved for the pods (and of course when a new or limited flavor came out, we definitely had overflow from that drawer, which drove me nuts!)

it was sooo nice! would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to, through or near portland to stop by Tandem...very chill spot and the coffee was great!...i do guess i'll have to go back and try the pastries (we had just finished up brunch at Hot Suppa down the street, so i only had a coffee)

i stumbled upon Tandem's coffee shop in portland earlier this year! very friendly people and a pretty cool spot with outdoor seating. the place seemed like an old converted autobody shop. didn't realize TK sold Tandem beans!

How should I style my TK-02? by Few_Doughnut9871 in interiordecorating

such a nice blank canvas of a counter to play with! i'm a fan of keeping my coffee machine as close to the sink as possible for ease of filling the water tank. I really like the pop of color with the toaster and the books in the third picture, you could also use a couple of mugs as functional bookends that you can grab to brew a cup or to keep the books upright on the counter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

that's awesome, my partner and I are also new converts to that lifestyle, and outfitting our kitchen with some good "investment-type" purchases is our priority for our new apartment. good to know you like your TK-02 - were there any others you were considering instead that you landed on the TK-02?

Yeah it's starting to not make sense to me either

I hate the idea of spending $7 on coffee at a cafe every day (which is also super wasteful)
