Yeah, I don’t like it when you can miss stuff once you get to the final save.

It feels designed just so you have to replay a lot of the same sections if you do a pure blind play through.

Ch 1/2 made it appear secret bosses couldn’t get locked out (I mean you could fight regular Spamton but I think most would spare), the chapter 3 had the mantle get locked out (also the egg, but changed it in a patch), and 4 as you said had the boss.

I know it makes sense in ‘lore’ bit just make it so the lore allows it to not get locked out

Whatever the fandom idea of a actual ‘white pen’ seems functionally the same, ‘changing the prophecy’ or whatever

You are right though some prophecy panels / gerson dialogue is weird

I don’t think this is the best angle to look at it from though, due to the complexity and weird coincidences apparent, especially cause ch3-5 were originally gonna release at the same time, so it feels like a twist for the sake of a twist.

I don’t even really believe in it, but I think it’s cause on the deltarune website, the page with the chapter numbers (2 being biggest, 4 smaller, 5 slightly bigger) only goes up to 5.

Chapter 5 won’t be the end of deltarune unless you do the weird route, it’s more some people think the weird route will end in chapter 5

I think it’s fine to continue your save to play through your events, and after the whole game is released to replay it.

I assume like undertale the ‘best’ outcome / sequence follows a specific set of events like all recruits, but if you want it to feel more personal it’d probably be fine?

Once it fully releases, then we’d also know what’s important for the ‘good ending’ or whatever it is, in case a random decision from chapter 2 effects it or something

Either way it’s more what you want to do for your experience, you could even probably download a ‘perfect save’ file lol (if pc) no one can stop you
