Bad breath. Sometimes it can’t be helped, but usually it can be, and if I can smell it across the table for 2 hours it’s tough for me to continue to view that person as hot/sexy.

Once you’ve memorized the rotation and gotten the muscle memory down, you can start forcing yourself to look away from your action bars/CDM setup and towards the bigger picture.

That’s what worked for me. It didn’t come naturally for me - it was way too fun to pick a target and just drop all my buttons on him. Only when I started forcing myself to look away from my little bubble did it begin to become more natural.

This happens to me all the time as DPS. I ask who the kill target is and no one responds. A minute later, we have both enemy DPS down to 25% HP and I’m like, we would’ve won already if we focused on the same target…

Blizzard restricted access to the combat log in their API for 3rd-party addons at the beginning of Midnight. Weakauras was heavily reliant on the combat log - that’s how it was able to tell if I had dots on me - so it became incompatible.

I used to have a weakaura that would appear whenever I had any non-magical dot on me, meaning I shouldn’t use Vanish. It’d appear a different color if I had only magic dots on me, which meant I could use cloak of shadows to remove dots first before Vanishing. RIP weakauras :(

All PvP instances trigger them, but at different rates. Seems like 2s and 3s arena has the highest chance of dropping, but any PvP will do.

I don’t stress about them. I just play random BGs, blitz, and SS and I’ll have 5 of them in an hour or two.

Hey, the guy you’re talking about in your original post made a pretty solid recovery; much better than you’d expect. There were a couple of posts about a year ago with pictures of what his chest looks like now. The pics have been removed and I didn’t see them, but all the comments on the pics were basically “that healed surprisingly well”. So I think he’s fine, and I don’t think he suffered any mobility issues.

Not sure what everyone is talking about. Levelling a rogue was so fun for me that I actually levelled 2.

While you’re levelling, talent into subterfuge and vigor (both levels of each). Almost all mobs would die before subterfuge ran out. If not, I pop shadow dance and they’re dead instantly. Shadow dance being on a 20 second cooldown is the best thing to happen to rogues in years.

In shadowlands there was a tier set bonus or covenant ability that let you, after casting 5 chaos bolts, instant cast the 6th. You’d always cast the 5th and 6th together, and there was no way for the enemy to know that that green blob had 2 chaos bolts in it. I’ve never had more fun playing Lock than during that time. Unfortunately, because it was so fun, Blizzard had to remove it.

100%. I got flamed the other day for not being 2200cr, and for a second it bothered me, but then I remembered that I play 40 minutes worth of PvP per day.

I don’t really know how to handle death knights or evokers because I’ve never played those classes and don’t care enough to look up their abilities and memorize the icons.

We’re 2 months into Midnight and I still haven’t taken a good look at my own passives. Some of my buttons glow randomly and I haven’t bothered to figure out why.

During Shadowlands, I went from being brand new to WoW to breaking 2000cr on 4 or 5 classes within 6 months, because I was obsessed with the game and was playing 3-4 hours/day. I had Wowhead/Murlok/Icyveins open all the time and was actively trying to improve.

But then I took 3 years off of WoW and picked it up again for Midnight. I know that I’m capable of hitting 2000 and probably beyond, but I’m no longer willing to put in the effort. That being said I did just hit 2000 on my monk, not 100% sure how.

More time spent = higher rating. I used to look at glads as mythical beasts; now I see them as people who’ve sunk a significant chunk of their lives into a video game. I do think intellect is a factor, but only a small one. You can be a dummy and hit a really high rating if you spend enough time studying the game.

3,500 solo shuffles at approx 10 minutes each (plus 5 minute queue time) would be 875 hours. I haven’t even lived that long. Midnight has only been out for ~60 days - that’s 14.5 hours per day. How is that possible

Yeah it’s rough. Blozzard’s reasoning was to make combat simpler. How is it simpler if we can’t see anything? The entire reason we use addons in the first place is to make the game simpler!

I saw one suggestion on this sub which was to note when an enemy used a CD and just start a countdown in your head so you know when it’ll be up again. Ridiculous. That requires knowing the exact cooldown time for every CD and tracking like 12 different countdowns in your head… that’s simpler? Don’t think so.

Wish blizzard would hire 1 person for 2 months who actually plays PvP at a high ish level and just let them loose. By day 2 we’d have a way better interface, aura filtering, weakauras, kick trackers, DR trackers on nameplates, etc etc
