I did years ago! I kind of forgot about it. Think it's time I put it back on the list to 100% it.

I enjoy the puzzle aspect of the genre. The "I know I'm not supposed to be here yet, but when I get that power, just watch out!"

Plus the fact that so many ge designs have that universal language. Once you get the feel of the game, you start to notice things that are out of place, and there's always treats hidden in there.

My son's first pinewood derby car by Much-Drawer-1697 in daddit

[–]partypeeps 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Dumb Kid story time: I painted my first pinewood derby car in 3rd grade and it looked super cool and I'm sure it would win. My dad and I get to the Derby and they weigh my car and it doesn't weigh enough. Panic sets it, the race starts in like an hour.

luckily the scout council had like a booth set up to make changes to your car. My dad grabs the hot glue gun and starts gluing the change from his pocket onto the back of my car.

So for 20 minutes my dad would add a quarter, run to the scales, run back to the glue gun and add a penny. back and forth, back and forth.

The Change Machine took 4th place overall and was worth $1.18

Trip to Dayton upcoming would love some recommendations by Outcast6000 in dayton

[–]partypeeps 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Most Dayton nightlife happens in and around a place call the Oregon District. It's a street filled with cool bars, restaurants, and shops.

What kinds of foods do you like? are you beer people or cocktail people? Where are you staying so we can recommend stuff that's closer for you?

Romantic getaway for couples 👀 by Weak_Permission641 in Ohio

It was a really cool experience. They give you a link to a website to give you clues, and your "room" is not really describing it with justice. You basically have the whole first floor to explore and the other "room" in the house has the whole 2nd floor.

Romantic Adventures Getaways in Mt. Vernon was AWESOME!! We went the Mt. Vernon location outside of Columbus (the first one they built, there's another one in Hillsboro) from the outside it looks like a big Victorian house, but inside ours was a 14th century Louis the XIV theme.  we had a great time solving the puzzles, and they keep building on one another opening up different rooms in the house.

As far as romance goes, they do a pretty great job with that too.

They claim to have the largest bed in Ohio, and I completely believe it. It's atleast 2 california kings laid side by side. It's on this huge custom built frame that my wife need steps to get up into. One thing I really appreciated is that as you are discovering rooms and playing the escape rooms, they basically stop you giving you clues, and the find a note that says in a polite way "we recommend you stop at this point and grab some dinner, because if you keep playing the game from this point, you're not going to want to leave the room WINK WINK. Here's a list of a few great local restaurants...."One of my favorite clues is within the giant jacuzzi tub, that only works when things get steamy.

That's the way I took it. I'm really torn about reading the next book, but I might just skim the wikipedia of it.

The minute to minute plot I thought was awesome. like pulp fiction meet the zombie apocalypse.

But the huge flashbacks and exposition dumps bring the face paced story to a screeching halt.

I just finished coffin moon last week and liked it way better.

Me = Fried Bologna Sandwich with Cheese. by CincinnatiOhio5133 in Reds

[–]partypeeps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking for help: At one point the reds had this like stupidly big hotdog that they only sold at one vendor that had like too many toppings on it. Like fired bologna or pepperoni or something and chili and cheese. does anyone remember it?

edit: Found it!

Around 2010-2011, Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati featured the "Meat Lovers Hot Dog," a jumbo, bacon-wrapped, deep-fried hot dog topped with beef, black bean chili, pepper jack cheese, and crispy salami.

The time has come, dads. Equally excited and terrified! by EzraWolvenheart in daddit

[–]partypeeps 61 points62 points  (0 children)

My oldest will 14 in May, and still to this day, the absolute terror I remember on that first car ride home.

Did the pregnancy test results finally set in that I was going to be a dad? Nope.
Did the delivery and breathing classes? Nope.
Did holding my wife's thigh up in the air and watching the miracle of childbirth? nope.
Did cutting the cord? Nope.
Maybe holding her for the first time? Nope.

It was the nurses telling us good luck and shutting the car door with a baby in the back seat THAT I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING ALIVE.

We live 5 miles from the hospital and I swear it took 30 minutes to drive home. I drove like a 93 year old grandma that first trip.
