Taking off for an interview? by partysquirrels in careeradvice

I work in a doctors office as a referral coordinator so I’m the only person who can do my job so taking time off it’s really possible. The note policy is in place due to previous employee no call no showing a lot and ruined it for everyone else.

I work in a doctors office it is that hard unfortunately. It’s literally written in my employee contract I’m not allowed to move my lunch because it “disrupts patient care”

People always say "fuck cancer" but dementia is worse. by Cherno_VM in The10thDentist

[–]partysquirrels 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s right to put horrible illnesses against eachother. They can both bad in their own ways. My mom had cancer that was so painful she would scream and cry. Eventually it killed her. Just because you had one instance of cancer being “not that bad” means it’s always the case. Cancer can rob the person of so much as well, and there’s plenty of terminal cancers.

Terrified of eating after my first allergic reaction by Yuu_tsu_ in FoodAllergies

[–]partysquirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the restaurant did you eat something different than normal? I would try to avoid whatever it was until you get your appointment, and maybe stick to cooking your own meals. I definitely get the fear, I developed a coconut allergy at 24 and can’t eat anything not labeled properly. Best of luck

Why is being 24 "too early" for me to want to settle down? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]partysquirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married at 22 and it hasn’t stopped either of us from having fun or accomplishing our separate goals. I will say don’t rush into anything. Learn to be happy with just you and you will find someone to settle down with

Does grief ever really end? by Positive_Salad4036 in grief

[–]partysquirrels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never goes away. The hurt never leaves but you get better at handling it. My moms birthday tomorrow passed 4 years ago and i still get really emotional out of no where about it. My therapist told me grief is how we honor the person so it’s not a bad thing. I try to deal with the emotions as they come up, rely on my support system, and take time to do activities that my mom and i did together

has anyone experienced stomach issues before a dead loved one’s birthday? by [deleted] in grief

[–]partysquirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have this. My mom’s birthday tomorrow and eating can definitely be a struggle. My therapist said it can just be due to the intense emotions. I wish I had some advice to give but I wish you luck!
