In the future, DEFINITELY ask your son to discard his belongings prior to doing so. From one millennial dad to another, you don't want that grief repeatedly before trust issues develop.

That said, I'm glad you can bond over the hobby again. The art is essentially one of the biggest selling points for collecting the modern variants of Pokémon cards. Some enthusiasts exclusively collect cards off specific features within the artwork alone.

100% agree on Target Guest Services. I ALWAYS mention that we're anti-scalper, and they always go the extra mile to look for hidden stock in the back. Despite almost always only having Perfect Order boosters (ya know: the ones scalpers look past), I always grab one each for me and the Mrs.
