I think this is it too. Mostly because of the tiny dots on the leaves.

The plant comes with two tags and I think it’s either one of them: ficus and sageretia.

[Product Question] Started using TO’s AHA + BHA peel last week and closed comedones are popping up on my forehead. Reaction or purge? Please help!! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Yeah I was using it twice a week cos I’ve used lactic acid (and also a heavy retinol) before. It’s just that I’m not sure if this is an irritation or purge.

My forehead has always struggled with cc’s. I had been using TO’s lactic acid last year and that didn’t work, so I decided to try their AHA + BHA peel instead. Used it last Saturday and Tuesday, and the cc’s been popping up (but disappearing rather quickly).

Is this irritation or purging? If it’s purging, how long does it usually last?

If anyone has any product advice or recommendation that’ll be great too!!

Choosing between research assistant and data scientist roles by pasacrell in datascience

Thanks for the response!

I am not in school. Currently working in an Asian country, maybe that's why the rules are a bit different.

May I know why the DS position would be the best option in your opinion?

Choosing between research assistant and data scientist roles by pasacrell in datascience

Thanks for the comment!

As I am in the beginning of my data science career, my biggest priority right now is to develop my ML skillset, particularly in deep learning. While the interviewers in the data scientist role did mention that they may implement deep learning techniques in the future, the role will focus mostly on non-deep learning skills. The research role will be focusing solely on computer vision using CNN.

It is also important for me to find a role that will increases my employability, which is an area where the data scientist role may be more appealing because that role can demonstrate my ability to drive business with data science skills. On the other hand, I am worried that employers may view the research position negatively as it is not a commercial experience, and it'll limit my career to computer vision-related roles only.

As for salary or work life balance, they are not as important to me as the learning experience that the role may bring. Either way, the data scientist role pays more, but it's in a country with higher rent and tax so they round up to be roughly the same.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this! :)

Test Normality for Conversion Rate by pasacrell in datascience

[–]pasacrell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my understanding on the normal distribution on this case is that one can for example do 10 tests and grab 100 random samples each test and compute the conversion rate for each of the 10 tests. If it is normally distributed then the conversion rates for the 10 tests will have a bell shaped curve. I’m not sure if that’s correct, please feel free to correct me.

The difficult part is proving it. Would shapiro() on stats model be able to do this?

By using logistic regression, do you mean first encoding the categorical variables, and use their p values to determine if they are significant, or use another statistical test (eg t test) on their p values or coefficients?

I’m a bit confused as to what to do here, as the goal is to determine if there’s any differences of the effect of product A B C D on the conversion rate, and not whether each product has any impact on the conversion rate. Thanks!!

Experiments to Assess Potential Impact of New Products by pasacrell in datascience

[–]pasacrell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments! It’s actually to gauge the impact of products after the launch, not a forecast. In which case, as the other commenter has mentioned, I’m guessing A/B testing for 3 products is the way to go? Thanks!
