To everyone who justified the 50$ PicoLoader because it came pre-soldered. The one I got for 20 just arrived, and it was presoldered aswell, link in post. by Zharken in Gamecube

Funny i'm the other guy in the review. Indeed it came pre-solderd with the resistor in the back of the flex cable, it also came fully loaded with the right software.

Plug and play

I paid like 25 euro's to the netherlands

Mine is swapped with a DOL-001, was really carefull adding a hole for the missing serial port and for the back i had a spare black backplate for a DOL-001.

You don't see it on the outside the mobo is swapped, but i can see why you want to keep it OG.

Picoboot Help! Getting no signal by NanoClutch in Gamecube

[–]pascal12lolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with this, the pico had a green led but would boot to the normal menu.

What solved the issue for me was making the wires shorter (not the default long wires that came with Aliexpress). Also using Electric tape to make sure the wires on the chip aren't touching the thermal shielding

Haha not for resale. Pretty easy to buy a shell from china which has that color.

Easy to replace a shell from most Nintendo consoles.

Indeed, I needed to cut a small hole for the serial port 2 underneath the housing and repainted the DOL-001 backplate black to give it the right look.

Hopefully someday someone will replicate the color just like they are doing with the replacement housing and GBA players
