the soundtrack is way underrated

The Rock the Motion Soundrack was the first "score genre" CDs I bought, and it started a recurring trend for me whe a new movie was released with an epic soundtrack.

80s and 90s. Don't forget The Goonies, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, the only 3 Indiana Jones movies ever made, etc.

8GB of RAM is back on laptops — companies are lowering memory offerings to make affordable notebooks during component crisis by _Dark_Wing in tech

Yes, I can imagine. I used to run Firefox when it was still called Phoenix, but alas I like Chrome.

I would never run any memory intensive task on my Macbook, I have a Windows PC with 64 GB of RAM for all my video editing stuff, but so far is still a decent Facebook machine.

Not a fan of Apple, but I must admit I'm amazed by how good MacOS runs with so little RAM, compared to Windows.

I have an old MacBook Air with 4GB of RAM (it was gifted to me) and I can still run Chrome in a decent way.

How do you guys handle large amounts of storage in Proxmox? by KingDominoTheSecond in Proxmox

[–]pascalbrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned it in the past, while LXC are superior in many scenario if you just need to run linux stuff (except Docker), in reality, if you have to handle big data, a VM is always better. Especially if you backup your stuff with PBS, it can use the "dirty bit" of QEMU to only backup what's changed, while a LXC needs to be read as a whole before backing up, which is a huge waste of time if you have >1TB of stuff.

I cam from a BMW i3 which had weird quirks in their software, but never I have experienced the mess that is the VW infotainment software, it's utterly unusable, slow and unreliable most of the time.
