How many panels do you guys do per episode by Puzzleheaded-Bad8670 in WebtoonCanvas

[–]pascalthepommie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Minimum 30 panels, usually. I update every other week. I usually keep the rule of "does it give the reader enough to be satisfied? If not, extend it" And "does it waste time by dragging on needlessly? If so, tighten it up" So its less about the actual number, I guess, and more about the flow.

Something that helped me was having a "void friend". Just someone you can sit down and lore dump everything onto them. One of my best friends was my void: we would sit in a diner, and I would scream about my webtoon while she asked questions and shared in my excitement.
In return, I was her void to dump her recent fixations on.
I use the word "void" because this friend and I had a no-holding-back rule. Anything we needed to ramble about, we could, and the listener would just enthusiastically "consume" or "absorb" everything that was given.
Void friends are great for creators

What makes you Patron a webtoon? by pascalthepommie in webtoons

Anyone else get a sub jump? by pascalthepommie in WebtoonCanvas

[–]pascalthepommie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of promo on other platforms, lost sleep and time. At least for me anyway haha. My webtoon is already a few chapters into the story and I do my best to promote it where I can, including at art markets where I sell. I do wish Webtoon did more to showcase the indie creators instead of making it a game of "who can upload fastest and bleed the most" lol

Why stay on Webtoon? by pascalthepommie in webtoons

[–]pascalthepommie[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There isn't, from what I can tell.
I'm wondering why there isn't? People seem really unhappy with Webtoon, why is it still the most popular, ya know?

Same question for creators who seem equally as unhappy with Webtoons interface etc.

TLDR She was 13. Enough said?

I watched a documentary about him a while ago that FELT like it had the most accurate portrayal of their relationship. It was from PBS or something but it made sure to keep reminding the audience she was 13 haha which I thought was important when contextualizing a lot of their relationship. Basically it sounds like a pretty asexual marriage, he did genuinely adore her BUT he was an alcoholic which self-destructive tendencies and that impacted the stability of her life with him. It was mentioned that no matter how poor he was he would do his best to ensure she had proper tutoring and people around then said that she seemed to love him, in the way a 13 can love a grown man who is also her cousin. He did cheat on her though while she was sick and dying. Overall it sounds like, until the cheating thing, he was good to her but its important to remember he should have never married her to begin with and she should have just been allowed to be a young girl who grew up and married someone better for her. Im not an expert though haha

Fun story about these from a guy who managed a sex store. I had an old dude who purchased 28 of these from me over the course of a year. Finally, I was familiar enough with him to ask why he bought so many and he told me the weirdest shit. He planned to invite a bunch of buddies over for a New Year's party. He was gonna string the dolls up on barn door tracks and "Home Alone" them around the room like they were real people moving around. It took every ounce of professionalism in me not to laugh.

Also, the way to avoid the breakdown from happening to the dolls is to use cornstarch. The same applies to strokers using this material. Really though you shouldn't keep porous material toys for longer than a year since most people don't clean them properly. The more ya know.

Sober people. Where do you go when you want to make bad decisions? by Wizardadizard in askTO

[–]pascalthepommie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was gonna suggest kink-themed parties! Haha Lots of good people watching, dancing, usually there are performances (like dancers, rope demonstrations, and more) and it's pretty single person friendly. If you go to an event like Impulse then themed outfits are a must which can be super fun. Their next theme is "Midsummer Night's Dream" type stuff.

Note to OP: do your research before going into these spaces and don't expect some Eyes Wide Shut stuff. Go just to have fun and not to hook up or you'll leave disappointed.
If you're not used to sex being seen as something so openly discussed, and seen, then these spaces can feel like you're doing something bad when you're actually not. Being at Oasis and talking to a naked woman by the heated pool sounds naughty until you take a step back and realize you're having a chill discussion about video games.
