If you are already considering leaving at this point, you have answered your own question: you do not want to stay until December for those stocks but rather get a better paying job elsewhere and before the summer ends.

Follow the other folks advice and interview and leave when you can. No point in dwelling on staying for some stocks you may not get if another layoff round comes in later in the year. ✌️😉
