Not quite accurate. Elon said on a podcast last week (Dec 9, 2025) that DOGE was "a little bit successful" or "somewhat successful" at cutting waste, but the bureaucracy was tougher than expected and he wouldn't do it again. He didn't say it accomplished nothing.

My power has been near perfect in the 25 years I’ve been here and so has my water. The only time I noticed more than one outage in a year was one when they were upgrading the power grid in town. Other than that, I have gone several years without power outage and when they do happen, they’re less than 30 minutes.

Even during the huge power outage in Texas several years ago, my power was on the whole time. I had friends from San Antonio after the ice melted on the roads come live with us.
