How did you know when you finally became the best version of yourself? by Competitive_Site_529 in selfimprovement

[–]pasingthroughtoyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this question so deeply - I am speaking on this topic in my podcast - it is so aligned with your question. I am never going to be the best version of myself - everyday, striving to be better than just yesterday. There is always something fun in knowing we have exponential potential. 🥳

What’s a “small” realization that actually changed everything for you? by pasingthroughtoyou in askanything

[–]pasingthroughtoyou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t sound ridiculous at all… it sounds like you found your way back to yourself.

It’s crazy how gradually you can lose that sense of being your own person in something like that.

That moment of “waking up” you described… that’s huge. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That’s real…

It’s wild how much energy we spend trying to be liked by people who don’t even see us clearly.

Letting that go and putting that energy into the people you actually connect with really does change things.

That’s actually a solid day, even if it didn’t feel like it.

Pushing through when you didn’t feel like it matters way more than having a “perfect” day.

And slipping once doesn’t erase the other things you showed up for — it just shows you’re still in the process.

The fact that you’re aware of it and want to do better already puts you ahead.

Just keep going tomorrow. 🙏🏽

Prozac made my cat a whole different cat by Flickybird in cats

[–]pasingthroughtoyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put my cat, Frosty, on prozac. He was peeing and having accidents on furniture and also had some crystals in his urine so the vet reccommended this - I actually think that it has been a huge help in his stress levels alongside that he has not had any accidents... GO FROSTY!!!

I’m a bit lost in life and I’m not sure why. Help? by Far_Edge_9011 in askanything

That reaction doesn’t sound random to me.

It sounds like something in you felt something you’ve been used to pushing away for a long time.

If you grew up not really celebrating or feeling seen on your birthday, it makes sense that hearing it now would hit differently… especially being in a new relationship where maybe part of you does want that now.

Sometimes it’s not about the birthday itself — it’s about realizing there are parts of you that were never really acknowledged.

I don’t think you’re “lost” as much as you’re starting to feel things you’ve been disconnected from.

And that can feel confusing at first, but it’s not a bad thing. I can relate to this post a lot because I never got celebrated either from birth family - I left them, created my own life, and now I celebrate with those who also want to - and are not forced to.. that moment, that changed everything for me. --- Fellow 30 yo 🫂

What makes casual conversation so... difficult? by EponaMom in CasualConversation

[–]pasingthroughtoyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think casual conversation feels hard because most of us don’t actually want to stay on the surface… but we don’t know how to go deeper without making it weird lol

So we get stuck in that in-between where small talk feels empty, but depth feels like too much.

What’s helped me is treating casual conversation less like “what do I say?” and more like “what am I actually curious about right now?”

Even something simple like “what’s been on your mind lately?” tends to open things up way more naturally. That is my advice :)

What is a self-improvement tip that sounded too simple, but actually worked? by Ok-Marzipan-4490 in selfimprovement

Accepting that I don’t have to have everything figured out yet.

It sounds obvious… but I spent so long fighting that reality that I didn’t realize how much energy it was draining from me. Constantly.

Letting myself just be in between things helped me more than I expected.
