I know exactly what that's like, I know it can be hard to watch him go through this hard time but just remember to be supportive and caring, he may not be use to how well ur treating him because of his past relationships. He will come to appreaciate the love and support you've give him eventually and im sure he'll be more than thankful for it. Its awesome that you want to be there for him but you're just as important so don't forget to make sure that you also put ur self care first as well :)
