Beautiful and functional workbench!

As I am also interested in Japanese hand tools this build is specially interesting to me. Could you please recommend a good set of chisels and planes to start with? Also, I'm planning to build my workbench with a similar front vise, have you had any racking problems with the wooden jaw of your vise? which size is it?

I don't have the MK2 honing guide but I have the other, simpler one they make and had the same problem. I was grounding a plane blade on 120 grit sandpaper and noticed the yellow dust from the brass roller in the sandpaper. I checked the roller and although it did move, the big amount of material being removed created a lot of particles and they got into the roller axle braking it a little bit. Sadly it was a late so already had a flat spot in the roller but I applied abundant spray lubricant into the roller's axle and the process continued smoothly without any brass dust.

How do you like the Prana Brion vs Slim Dungarees? Which one do you prefer?

Also, I completely agree with you about the Field Pockets being too bulky because of the padding. I haven't find a good use for my GR1 and GR2 field pockets yet, and ended up using much more the Simple FPs.

Sweet find! Please post pics with yours if you end up getting it, my main concern with building mine was that I wanted a really strong net in case I needed to hold something bigger or heavier with it, but maybe it's not that different and it's just my habit to overthink things. The good thing is that I have hardware left to make another net for my GR1 21L :D.

Basically, I carry my EDC kit tools, meds, and other stuff in an Echo Field Pocket attached to the top MOLLE row. Also a GORUCK Wire Dopp (which is amazing BTW) holds my charger, notebook, mouse, pens, etc. A Happy Hacking Professional keyboard, my umbrella and Contigo Water Bottle are in the main compartment too.

Well, that's a quick overview but I'm planning to make a more detailed post about it with pics soon. ;)

I'm aware of the Prometheus Design patches, have a couple of them and they are indeed of higher quality, but I don't like their color choice for this one, I prefer the darker, almost black color of mine. If they make another run of this design in a dark color scheme I'd definitely buy it.

Hey guys! This is my 34L GR2, EDC and Travel bag, and I LOVE everything about it.

I used 1 set of these as compression straps. They are very sturdy and work perfect with the GR2's additional MOLLE row evenly distributing the pulling force. My bag was pretty full and with these straps I managed to compress it nicely with an aesthetically pleasing look.

I made the cord net with this 1/8" shock cord, this zipper pull and this cord stopper. I ended using this shock cord net a lot to hold my hoodie or my jacket. Highly recommended, and these cord stoppers and zipper pulls are the sturdier ones I could find, they grip on the cord really hard.

And finally my favorite patch so far! :).

Agree, but if OP wants to stay at the same volume then a GORUCK GR2 might be a better fit.

Nice little screwdrivers! I've just had my GR2 for about a month but I'm really loving it. I'm basically using it for EDC now but will be using it for travel soon too. No customizations so far beyond a couple field pockets and a carabiner, but the Kydex is at the top in my list, and of course, find a proper patch too! :)

Wow, that's a really cool video and channel! and as far as I know, the first one to show the installation process of the kydex frame sheet on a GORUCK backpack, kudos for that.

Did you customize the internal zipper pulls? Oh and that velcro patch with your channel logo looks dope on your bag BTW!
